There is a bar on the ground floor of the Inn, it’s a bit noisy at night. The toilet is not clean and a bit smelly.

Lovely quaint hotel room was basic only complaint would be how soft the mattress was but that’s down to personal preference . They have entertainment on in an evening some nights and it’s very loud in the rooms upstairs but not an issue if you enjoy music

We stayed here for one night and were given a warm welcome from the member of staff behind the bar. The room was clean and had everything we needed. However, no Wifi, parking that was not brilliant and being woken up at 6am by people maybe leaving for work and slamming their bedroom doors did not let us have a decent nights sleep. Not the best experience!!

We stayed in a value twin room (no.4) The good first:- friendly person who booked us in (didn't see any other staff members). The room was clean as was the bedding, the pillows were very good quality, access was unlimited, tea and coffee were provided, the bathroom was compact but serviceable. The price was fairly cheap at £47 so we didn't expect luxury The downsides:- check in was late compared to most hotels (4pm), the room was very small, the beds were oddly bouncy and were difficult to get out of or turn over in without risking tipping out. The remote control for the small TV had no back on and the batteries kept falling out. When the remote worked we couldn't acess many channels even some of the main terrestial ones. There was no information in the room either about the hotel or local facilities, not even emergency numbers. Due to the nearness of the sink to the toilet, whenever you got too close it set the noisy macerator off. There was no hairdryer or bedside lamp and the two chairs were very uncomfortable. The parking is limited and pot luck. There wasn't a great deal to do in the village and though we were invited we aren't great pub goers so maybe we would have liked it better if we were. This may seem pernickety but all we expected was a quiet night (which it was) and a good comfortable sleep (I was awake at 5.20 after a rough nights' sleep) with perhaps an internet code and a lamp. We left early. Food was not available, as we knew but we got a good value breakfast at the Morrisons supermarket down the road. Sorry to say we won't be back.

A perfect stay after a five hour journey with the dog. The staff were friendly and the place is great value for money. The bed was lovely and comfy and the shower was warm and clean. We just wish they did food downstairs.. We had the best time and we're going to book with you again very soon.

Awful. Noisy , rooms stuffy and rough. Stayed only long enough to use the conveniences . Would not recommend this place. No breakfast included in price. I had to phone another reputable Guest house and fortunately they had a cancellation and I could get out .

We stayed as a family (including our dog) in this room-only establishment. Host was friendly. We found the beds very comfortable, but the rooms were cold. We also had the smallest flat-screen tv we have ever seen! The en-suite was quite large, but there was nowhere to hang any towels. We had a problem with the shower (on/off dial was loose, so it was difficult to turn off and also adjust the temperature – water was boiling). We mentioned this to a member of staff and when we returned later, there was a note on the outside of our door, telling us to phone a mobile number before using the shower. As we were leaving the next day, we decided to use the facilities at our next hotel. Off-street parking was also available. There is no food available at the pub, so we ate locally (Chinese restaurant) or in Seaham.
