Semporna Hotels with Breakfast

Our stay at the Arcadia Hotel was truly idyllic and met our expectations. This resort is located on a beautiful, private island called Pandanan, opposite Timba Timba Island. Its location is wonderful. The hotel's facilities and decor are very beautiful, luxurious and white. It has a very large infinity pool where you can enjoy the view of Timba Timba Island. We've read some negative comments about the buffet, but for us, it was truly incredible for its variety and quality. Even more so considering the hotel is on a remote island. The kitchen staff, and especially the cook, is a talented and very pleasant gentleman. Additionally, the stay includes a day trip to an island, snorkeling, and a boat ride to watch the sunset. The only negative point I consider is that the island's shores are littered with bottles and other plastic products, which is truly shocking and sad. I think whether the trash comes from another island or not, they should definitely take this into account and have the staff clean up the beach. Thank you very much!

Overall I enjoyed our stay in sky water villa. When I was booking I read the reviews also worried that they are a bit old, so that the houses might not be well maintained. But during my stay I feel like the houses are used but still in okay manner. The best thing for this hotel is that I think they have the best house reef, and you can see turtles at night from your balcany. I went snorkling a few times during my stay I saw quite a few clown fish aka nemo and many fishes and even a sea eel one day. They also provide “galss” kayak which you can watch sunset on it. And the best thing they offer is that the tours you book with the villa starts around 10 am, you can just get ready and wait in your room, and when the boat is here the staff will get you from your room, and you’ll finish the tour around 3-4 pm which is the afternoon tea time at the villa. Instead of in the town area you need wake up early and meet and wait at the jetty around 8:15 am . And power supply is stable just may be ocassion blackout but it would turn back on very soon. However I do think they need to clean their air con as the one in our room seems very dusty, we had to clean the filter ourselves, they were very dusty. And during the afternoon coz our villa faces the sunset direction the air con feels a bit not strong enough. And the aircon outer unit is installed right at the room’s wall so it’s a little bit noisy, I’d suggest why not just use a more powerful window unit instead. The food is so so, but it’s difficult to cater everyone’s preference for food. The hotel is not cheap and maybe not very cost effective compare to hotels in other places, but to be fair i think if you want to go to semporna, this might be a reasonable option as overall semporna and malaysia is very expensive for tourists. And i higly recommend to stay at least 2-3 nights instead of 1 night to fully enjoy and relax yourself.

Overall it's good, on the sea, the scenery is very good, there is a lady at the front desk who speaks ok English, the rest basically speak Malay, I can't understand, the boat transfer to the pier is 400 MYR, be sure to confirm the location of the pier, this is very important, the hotel is built on the sea, the fish and the sea are very beautiful, you can pick up some sea urchins and other things to play when the tide is low, it's still very interesting, but it's very humid, the water is cold, we have a fan room, I don't know if the air-conditioned room will be better, we were given three meals and afternoon dessert, it's really a good deal, we ordered lobster and fish extra, the price is right and the taste is delicious, the island accepts cash, there is no WeChat payment and Ali payment, everyone try to bring cash, there are still quite a lot of Chinese people haha, the last picture is a picture of the pier

It takes about 20 minutes to get there from the pier. You can go directly into the sea from the room. The water is very clear. You can see the sea as soon as you open the French window. You can also see starfish and fish around the water house, and small crabs on the wooden stairs. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included, and there are afternoon tea snacks in the afternoon. There are seafood, crabs, squids, shrimps and some blanched vegetables every night. The stay experience is not bad. Since it happened to be Christmas, I also caught up with the hotel's fireworks celebration! It is recommended to order deep diving directly from the store. The accompanying crew not only has good photography skills, but also gives deep diving photos and videos! ! Love it!

All the team and the manager are very nice and kind. They support us to book boat tours and provide all information. Everything organized, picked up from the hotel, food and drinks. The breakfast is ok with Chinese food mainly. The rooms (small wooden chalets) are very well decorated and well equipped. Clean and comfortable! The bathroom is very convenient and clean. We really recommend this place if you stay in Semporna. The only issue, it is a little bit far but the manager can help you to find a way to reach the center.

About check-in and reception: After the shuttle arrives, the staff will take you to the reception desk, and you can quickly get the key to your room and check in directly. Almost all the people here are Chinese, and the atmosphere of the resort is relatively comfortable. Even when it is full, it will not feel crowded at all. About meals: Three meals a day are in the form of buffets. Basically, you can eat fresh crabs at every meal, and there will be some snacks in the afternoon~ Free unlimited snorkeling (accompanied by staff): As long as you are a guest of the resort, you can snorkel unlimited times. Equipment and coach companions will be provided here Free round-trip boat transfer service (reservation required in advance): I am lucky. It only takes more than 20 minutes from the town to the resort. It is more friendly to me, because if you sit for too long, your ears will really buzz. Of course, this is related to the weather and sea area of ​​the day. It is just a reference.

The staff are always smiling, friendly, warm and courteous. They fulfilled our desire to do snorkeling twice in the morning and the night during our 2 day one-night stay. The host Joanne even showed us how the indigenous tribe that lives there and their way of living in stilt houses by shallow were amazing. Children as young as 7 years old have started to paddle a boat which they have handmade and repaired as well. The interior is fantastic with a bright yellow couch and a breezy balcony that is perfect for lazing around. The water is crystal clear and at night, it lights up into a lovely fairyland. The karaoke music is fun. They cooked live seafood and we loved it! The food is tasty and plentiful. For $570, we stay in a beautiful water house, go snorkeling twice, free airport pick, free ferry to Larapan village and back to Tauwa Jetty, free meals from breakfast, lunch, dinner, and tea time is worth it. Plus the bonus of taking photos on a glass boat was a remarkable memory PLEASE TAKE NOTE FERRY BOARDING AT KJETTY TO LARAPAN is 2pm , so please book a flight to make it for the transport to go to the ferry from airport that takes an hour.

Staying here was a truly memorable experience. The resort is set in a serene location with a picturesque lake where you can fish and even take a boat ride around. The unique touch of being able to bring your catch to the kitchen and have the chef cook it up for dinner was a real highlight. You can also buy fresh seafood from the local market and ask the chef to prepare it however you like for a very reasonable fee. The food, prepared by the owner and chef who hail from Guangdong, was the best I’ve tasted in Semporna. Each dish was bursting with flavor, showcasing authentic Chinese cuisine at its finest. The resort is about 15 minutes from Semporna town, but they offer a free shuttle service to and from the town, which makes it incredibly convenient for guests. At night, there’s outdoor karaoke under the stars, creating a fun and relaxing atmosphere. Overall, the resort had a homely vibe, with the owner and staff going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The resort itself is new, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable. I felt right at home the entire time. The peaceful surroundings, combined with excellent service and food, made this a perfect getaway. To note that the staff mainly communicates in Mandarin, so knowing a bit of the language would be helpful. I stayed here for a night after a 5 day dive trip and this was the perfect place to unwind and relax. I loved my stay so much that I can’t wait to return. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat in Semporna!

Unexpectedly, I never expected that I would live in a forest resort villa in Semporna, which was a large environment in minutes! I lived in the real nature in a second, the stilt wooden house unique to Malaysia, each room is large, clean, tidy and comfortable, and the boss said that all the best local mahogany materials in Malaysia were used! Speaking of the boss lady, I have to praise her! The boss lady is Chinese, enthusiastic, meticulous and meticulous! I am a family of three, and I brought two little girls from my relatives. I booked a standard room and a triple room. The triple room is actually the kind with an extra bed. There are also local children playing on the beach, but some will ask tourists for money, and some are very simple. I bravely entered the village and walked around. It was really dirty and smelly, haha! There are also very famous water houses on the island, but they are not together with this resort. You have to walk a little bit, and there is a fee to enter. Let's talk about the sea next to the resort. It is really beautiful. Although the beach is very dirty and there are all kinds of garbage, the sea is really beautiful. You can see the clear bottom by the beach. There are starfish, corals, various small fish, and a veritable jelly sea. We did not sign up for a sea tour to other places. We asked and it was about 65 Malaysian ringgits per person. We stayed for 2 days. We snorkeled at the pier of the resort. The staff was very good. We said we wanted to see turtles, so we dragged a lifebuoy to take us to the place where we could see sea ghosts (actually the water house). To be honest, the quality of tourism practitioners is much better than that of our country. If you don't have high requirements, or are a beginner snorkeler, snorkeling at the pier is actually enough. It doesn't matter if you can't swim. Life jackets, lifebuoys, and responsible staff will satisfy your yearning for colorful underwater time.
