Nice location, directly connected to the cable car to the SPA on the mountain.
Breakfast is good.
Sadly there’s construction site blocked the road to spa-geronstere station as attached picture(from google map)

I stayed at Van der Valk Hotel Spa during a solo trip and was very pleased with the choice. The hotel is conveniently located - right in the center of Spa, next to the thermal baths and a green park where it is pleasant to walk and relax.
The room was very cozy, clean and well-equipped. I was especially pleased with the spacious bathroom and comfortable bed - everything contributed to a comfortable stay. The hotel has a calm atmosphere, which is especially important when traveling alone.
The staff was attentive and friendly, always ready to help and answer questions. Breakfast pleased with its variety: fresh pastries, fruits, hot dishes - everything is tasty and neatly served.
For me, this place was a great point for recovery and recharge. If you are traveling alone and looking for comfort and tranquility - Van der Valk Hotel Spa is definitely worth considering. I will be happy to come back again!

The location is in the center of the town. There is a party pool. It is one of the better hotels in the town. There are not many options. The air conditioning is not very good.

The facilities are perfect, especially the cable car for hotel guests who can go directly to and from THERME in bathrobes.
However, I was charged a deposit of €50 at check-in even though I prepaid via Tripcom. I was told that it would be refunded after the room service was settled. However, the refrigerator was empty. "There shouldn't be any additions." At the time of check-out, I expected to receive a refund, but was told that the refund would be made via the credit card company in 2-3 days. However, it has not been refunded even after a week.

Under heavy construction
This hotel is under heavy construction. The entire ground floor is currently a construction site with absolutely zero amenities and is just an empty concrete shell. At no point during or since booking several months ago, were we advised of this. On arrival we walked through what is basically a construction site to a makeshift reception desk. We had 4 rooms in total in our group and of the 4, 3 of them had issues. One was the wrong room type and wasn’t 100% ready, another again was a wrong room type and the 3rd was completely dirty and looked as though someone had just checked out of it. Our room situations were addressed fairly quickly, however with the hotel under such heavy construction at present, I barely understand how they can even be open right now. Especially with no advance warning to people making reservations. We stayed here this time last year for the same event and have stayed on previous years and this was always lovely Radisson Blu hotel. It has changed hands within this time and while I understand the new owners may want to change the hotels appearance, this is not just a makeover. This is a full reconstruction. I am not happy that we have paid the price we have for this property, in this condition. I wouldn’t have booked had we known before
