I used to stay at this location years ago with my old firm and recently returned for a business trip. I had flight issues which delayed my arrival by a day and when I called to let them know, Leslie graciously acknowledged my Platinum status and allowed me to cancel that night with no penalty as a one-time courtesy, which I was not expecting since I was past the window for changes/cancellations. Upon (finally) arriving, I noticed that the hotel had undergone a facelift since my last stay. Still your standard Courtyard, but they did a nice job updating the hotel given what they had to work with. The front-desk staff was just as accommodating as I remembered and my room was clean and comfortable.

The location of the hotel is very close to the airport, you can walk, you will be through the airport parking lot! Hotel facilities are very old, there is no service at all, enough for overnight stay at the airport!

Had to book this hotel last minute after another changed my reservation unexpectedly. The service at the front desk was great. Parking was easy. Room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was what I'd expect at a Homewood Suites. TV signal was on the fritz for a little bit but resolved itself pretty quickly. There were only 2 towels in the suite but it was easy enough to go down and grab extra. I liked that the front desk had board games you could rent out for free. Overall this was a pleasant and easy stay for my family during our short trip to Fresno.

The hotel is located in an urban area, and it is biased towards business travellers. There are many choices for food. This time I just passed by for one night. There is not much demand in other aspects. Generally speaking, the price/performance ratio is good.

GGuest UserWe stayed here for one night on our way home from yosemite. Perfect place the stay if going to the airport the next day. The dr rental return is so close and the makes it for a stress free morning. The room was exactly what we wanted, clean, comfortable, and good tv options. The continental breakfast in the morning is actually quite superb. We checked in, slept great, had breakfast and left. We had a great experience. We would stay again if in the area
GGuest UserIāve stayed at Fairfield Inns several times in Canada, but this was my first time in the US. When I first walked into the room, there was a very strong chemical smell that I found totally unpleasant and overwhelming. It only dissipated by keeping the window open almost all of the time during my 4-day stay. The other major issue is that there werenāt enough light sources. The room was rather dark, especially at night. The only overhead light in the room was the one near the door, and it was on a timer. So, I had to stand up every 15 minutes to switch it back on. There was a reading lamp and a strange object below it that could have been an ottoman since it had no back. I would have loved a reading chair in the room. Instead, there was this weird ottoman-like thing without a back that didnāt function as a chair. Perhaps it was just a spot to place a suitcase. I have no idea. The walls were very thin, as I could hear my neighborās TV quite loudly all the time they were in the room. In addition, I really would have liked a safe in the room. On the plus side, the walk-in shower was great and the breakfast was very good. I send a shout-out to Tony, the person who checked me in. He was extremely good-natured and helpful. I wish all employees at hotels were like him. Overall, this hotel was a mixed bag, especially with regard to the room odour. I would probably try another hotel if I were to come back to town.
GGuest UserI've been to this property for business on-and-off since the beginning of the year, and my first experience was not a good one with housekeeping - I didn't need my room serviced everyday, but when I did make the request they finally came 3-days later. Since then my experiences have been fine, mostly because I have stayed for shorter periods and don't need anything from housekeeping... Well, my most recent stay was marred with poor service, and I guess that is mostly my fault since I left something in the room. In trying to retrieve my item, I got housekeeping's voicemail and left a message. After not receiving a call back after 3 days, I stopped-by the property since I was back in Fresno. However, the front desk told me I couldn't do anything other than call back and leave another voicemail - I also left a message anyway. After another 3 days, I still hadn't heard back, so I stopped-by again and the front desk said there was nothing they could do - so 3 voicemails and 2 in-person visits and I couldn't even ask directly if they had found my item, let alone receive any response... so I know my item is gone. I simply advise that if you want to stay at this property, try to avoid not only housekeeping but the front desk staff as well if you want a good experience. If you need to interact with either of them (which most of us do), then I would definitely recommend you go somewhere else!
GGuest UserI first visited this hotel in 2018. In 2022, this hotel is suffering a little from the aftermath of the pandemic. The rooms are spacious, the bed comfortable, 3 chairs in the room, one office type, one straight chair and one easy chair, plus a work table. Mini-fridge in the room. Garden-facing rooms have a pleasant view. There were some minor deferred maintenance issues. No daily maid service, a Covid innovation that should be reversed, IMHO. The pre-pandemic excellent breakfast has now been reduced to a minimal āgrab 'n goā bag. The 4 employees I encountered were friendly and helpful. The room rate on Trip.com was reduced appropriately given the reduced service.
GGuest UserI have stayed at Sonesta ES suites twice in the last month. Every time I've had to call to make arrangements, the staff is super friendly and helpful. They are pet friendly with a very reasonable pet fee, and the property is gorgeous. Derek at the front desk was especially kind and helpful during my check-in process, making sure all my needs were tended to and all questions asked. I highly recommend this property for business or pleasure, and especially dog lovers!
GGuest UserThis hotel has construction, and we were only told upon check-in to expect an 'inconvenience.' The noise beginning early in the morning on Monday, the second night of our stay, was absolutely unbearable, and ruined our morning on the day of preparation for a relatives funeral. Literally sounded like a jackhammer on the wall outside our room. Theyāre doing stonework. There's dust flying everywhere. There's loose plaster on the carpet in the elevators and the hallways. Construction workers come and go in the elevators alongside customers with all their equipment and mess and noise. There's an operating cherrypicker in the registration area of the parking lot with no safety cones. You walk out the East guest door on the first floor into a total hardhat situation with people doing stonework on ladders overhead, construction material blocking the exit, and the door is usually propped open all day. I politely told the front desk that we unfortunately needed to check out 2 days early due to the noise, and requested a late checkout to 3pm because we had appointments at the church, and funeral home, and hadn't planned to have to change hotels today. Note that I'm a platinum member, and didn't expect this to be an issue whatsoever given the unusual circumstances. I was denied, and asked for the manager, who promptly flatly denied my request with literally the rudest most uncaring expression and flat tone possible. I reinstated my request and attempted to explain my situation, and the manager admitted that the hotel was not booked (obviously because my room was already spoken for for 2 more nights), but still, she flatly denied me. She finally told me it was because the hotel could experience 'loss of revenue.' So I'm here to tell you that if revenue is more important than customer experience or showing compassion to a customer you placed in a difficult situation, I will no longer be staying at La Quinta. I'll certainly never step foot in this one again, in a town I visit every month. And Iāll be demanding a full refund from La Quinta Platinum Customer Service, letās see where that gets me. I also recommend anyone else over the next few months seriously reconsider. I don't care about your loss of revenue. Close this place, finish it up, and reopen. With a new manager. There are several really nice hotels with similar rates in the immediate area.
GGuest UserThis is an economical hotel chain located in a small county town in the United States. If you are not familiar with the United States, you can book this brand with confidence. The facilities are a bit old, the rooms are relatively small, and the breakfast variety is OK, but it is good to have it! It is no problem for a family of three to stay in a standard room.
GGuest UserWe stayed at this location as a way stop while helping move our daughter to southern California for school. We were caravanning with two cars loaded with household items. Prior plans to connect with family in the Yosemite area (and keep things secure overnight) had to be hastily changed because of evolving wildfires. We made a last minute reservation and pulled in to this hotel later in the evening. Ever aware of possible security risks, but knowing there wasnāt any way to avoid leaving things in the cars, we took a little comfort that they had someone sitting outside the hotel entry who the desk indicated was there to watch the cars āand we did take more valuable items like laptop computers to the room. When we returned to our cars early the next morning, both of them had smashed backseat windows. The household items, mostly packed in storage bins, were untouched. However, about half of our daughterās clothes that were in a large stuffed duffle and two handmade quilts ā one sheād made with her grandmother last year before she passed ā were gone. Iām giving the hotel 1 star because of security. The security person they had out front seemed to be semi-catatonic, which had prompted my inquiry at the desk when we checked in, and which in hindsight should have raised more questions. However, with a last minute, nonrefundable reservation and being at the end of a 12 hour day of driving we didnāt feel like we had much choice. The signs about not leaving valuables in your car that dot the parking lot also arenāt much help, except for the hotel to be able to say āwe told you soā. This is a hotel along the highway -of course there are travelers with stuff āmost people arenāt just making a short trip to the corner mall. The hotel staff nicely helped get us trash bags, broom and vacuum to clean up all the broken glass, and provided the phone number for the police, but didnāt do much more. I asked about security camera footage since we were right in the field of view for two cameras ābut the front desk couldnāt reach their manager to get permission to share it. I left my name and phone, but never heard back. We called the police immediately upon discovering the damage and stolen items, but they didnāt show up and so we left to start looking for someplace that could replace broken windows on a Saturday (hint, auto dealers arenāt likely going to be able to help). We got one car fixed at a glass shop associated with the local pick-n-pull ābut it took about half the day. The other vehicle, which was less than a week old, I ended up driving to southern California without a window (which means other windows also have to be down to avoid the resulting wind throb āthatās fun for 4-1/2 hours) with the hope of finding a dealer to make the repair near our final destination. In the end, this is a crime hole. Until the Hotel finds way to really effectively ensure safety and security (itās a cinch as others arenāt going to) youād be be
RRomerThe interior space of the rooms is in need of updating. Poor and shotty workmanship is very evident in what is there now. The fitness room is accessed by an outside door next to the lobby and when I attempted to open it two homeless men staggered out. There were marks on the floor from spilt soda hopefully. It did not smell like urine but it was creepy. The have cameras in the unit but they either don't work or no one is monitoring the room. I recommened they do a couple physical sweeps every evening since it was mentioned this is not the first time they have had this problem. There is a container for dissenfectant wipes but it was empty. The fan in the fitness room does not work. The clock on the wall is not working. This is all in the fitness room.
The parking situation needs to be addressed. One exit is closed so you have to go against the directional traffic arrows to get out of the property.
We found the bed comfortable and the complimentary breakfast in the morning acceptable.
