The inn is very close to the Bronze Statue Square, which can be reached in a few minutes. If you have enough time, you can go to the Bronze Statue Square once in the morning and once in the evening. The experience is different. There are many people during the day, and it is solemn and ceremonial. There are relatively fewer people at night. Under the light, the leader's radiant image is more reflected. You can order food at the inn. The proprietress cooks very homely and delicious dishes. She also thoughtfully arranges a pick-up station. There is also a small pavilion and a swing at the door, which is very warm and a good choice.

This time I was satisfied with the homestay where Chairman Mao lived. I booked it on Ctrip. The owner called in advance to inquire about the arrival time. I took the high-speed rail to Shaoshan South Station and the owner picked me up in person. The room was clean and tidy. I had three meals in the store. I ate Mao's braised pork. The homestay was not far from the scenic spots. The distance was just right. The square memorial hall was not far away. I was satisfied with this trip.

This is a very typical rural B&B, with a restaurant on the first floor and guest rooms on the second and third floors. The B&B is located in a village at the entrance of the scenic spot. Parking is allowed and pets are allowed. It is about 500 meters away from the former residence of the elders and the Bronze Statue Square. The owner's service is warm and the room is clean. The facilities are simple and outdated. The bathroom did not provide bath towels and there was no shower. The bedding may be too basic and make a twitching sound when you turn over. In Shaoshan in March, the temperature at night was very low, so I needed to turn on the air conditioner, but the sound from the outdoor air conditioner was loud, like a tractor. When I turned off the air conditioner, the same sound came from the outdoor air conditioners in other rooms, and the quilt was a little thin. Great choice for light sleepers. It’s okay to just pass by on a self-driving tour and stay overnight.

The room is very large and spacious, the location is very good, just next to the middle hospital, the front desk lady is very good, clean and no noise

The owners of this place are the nicest people ever! Even though we did not ask, they gave us a ride to and from the train station as well as to Chairman Mao's former residence. The location is great, it would not have been a long walk but the ride made our visit even smoother. The hosts gave us Chairman Mao pins for free and made us delicious breakfast for a really cheap price. They truly are such nice people! They don't speak much English but I'm sure you would manage just fine with a translator app. The room was a great fit for us, two couples travelling together, and it had everything we needed. We only stayed for one night since there is not a whole lot to see in this town but we would have loved to stay for longer just because the hosts were so nice. It is very close to the city hall. There is a relatively large supermarket nearby, which is very convenient. There is a Hunan restaurant next to it, which tastes good! The facilities are a bit old, like home decoration from more than ten years ago, European furniture, but the color of the velvet on the bedside has changed. There is no bottled water in the room. You can boil water at the tea machine in the corridor. The door handle of the bathroom shower room is broken. There were black spots inside the quilt. Because it was raining, we turned on the air conditioner to remove the moisture. We asked the staff to change the quilt and they said it was dust blown down by us turning on the air conditioner. Fortunately, it was replaced later.

Every time I come to Xiangtan, I will choose to live in this hotel. The price is really good, the health and environment are good, the parking is more convenient, the waiter is very warm, it is recommended

Their smiles were as warm as sunshine, making us feel right at home. 🧡 The room was very clean and tidy, with soft and comfortable bedding that felt like lying on a cloud. The room facilities were also very new; the TV, air conditioning, and shower all worked perfectly. The hotel's location is also very convenient, with many restaurants and shopping malls nearby, making it easy to get around. We were traveling for a relaxing vacation, and the hotel is also close to some beautiful attractions, all within walking distance, saving us a lot of travel time. 💯
