Very Good
RRae FrykbergWe arrived around 2:30 ish pm and needed to get to our room, order LYFT and go to a meeting scheduled for 5:00 pm. The desk person said check in time is 4:00 but would ck to see if a room had been cleaned and ready for occupancy. He verified one was ready and allowed us to go to that room. We were appreciative of the cleaning staff and the desk person.
All the hotel employees were friendly and courteous. The desk personnel even helped me with getting a Lyft app set up on my phone. The breakfast buffet was really good and extensive. There was always a line to cook waffles which caused a back up and slow moving line. Maybe have more waffle irons available. I wanted to order food from a nearby Panera Bread but the desk personnel called and/or looked up on line to find it had closed. She suggested if I placed an order thru the Panera Bread app, the person who drives the shuttle could take me to a different Panera Bread a little further away to pick up the food. I accepted her offer, bought the driver a snack and gave her a tip. I was able to have a wonderful mid afternoon meal.
The beds were very comfortable. I like the bathroom door with ”cloudy” glass which allows light in for use of the bathroom overnight. I like the use of attached to the wall containers of bath soap, etc. which definitely cuts down on use of smaller containers partially used and thrown away.
One important thing we suggest is the street sign for Arrow Street be much larger. Not being locals, the area was unfamiliar with us, there is heavy traffic and the Arrow Street sign is very hard to see.
Otherwise, we were very happy staying in this hotel.
GGuest UserI recently had the pleasure of staying at a Wingate by Wyndham Garner/Raleigh South. From the moment I stepped into the lobby until the day of my departure, I was thoroughly impressed with the level of cleanliness and attention to detail throughout the entire establishment.
The first thing that struck me was the warm and welcoming atmosphere as I entered the hotel. The staff at the front desk greeted me with smiles and were helpful. In the room the linens were fresh, the surfaces were spotless, and the overall cleanliness was impeccable. It was evident that the hotel placed a high priority on maintaining a hygienic environment for its guests. Throughout my stay, I also explored the hotel's facilities. The dining area, fitness center, and lounges were all clean and well-organized. Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, you can rest assured that your stay at this hotel will be an enjoyable and memorable one.
GGuest UserThe hotel needs maintainance and a refresh. The ventilaltion unit it the room had a very noisy fan. The tables in the room were rickety and not stable. The rod for the drawing aside the draperies was disconnected and propped against the window. It seems like one of the electrical switches in the bathroom should have turned on a ventalation fan, but they both only turned on lights. The computer in the lobby we thought we could use to print out boarding passes for our flight had no Internet connection.
SShanOBStaff very friendly and helpful. The room was a decent size and the bathroom was small. Paper thin walls as we could hear the person in the room next to us sneeze, cough, etc. We were excited about the pool and hot tub but upon further inspection it didn’t look clean at all. The morning breakfast was not very good. The housekeeping staff were friendly and gave us towels in exchange for our dirty towels as we didn’t need the room clean.
GGuest User...you get what you paid for...the location of the hotel is close to other hotel brands, a gas station and fast food, so the place is quiet at least when I visited...check in was not too busy and the lobby was small...I stayed at the first floor, which I did not like it because most of the time you can hear other room doors open and close...they should fix the doors because the springs in them are strong which cause them to slam. So I would avoid the first but I booked a king bed...the room I stayed in was okay but I did not like the bathroom...the fan was too loud when you turn the lights on...breakfast was okay nothing fancy I just did not like how some of the guess did not know how to manage their own kids...they keep touching the food and the only waffle machine.
HHZSAYSThis hotel is a little way out from the immediate downtown area, but it was easy to get around with public transport nearby. The hotel itself was very clean, and the staff were incredibly supportive and friendly throughout my stay.
I also had a nice view from my room, and the fact that there's a walking trail nearby was a fantastic bonus for unwinding after a busy day. The Verified Wi-Fi was reliable, and I appreciated the free coffee in the lobby to start the mornings . Highly recommend for a comfortable, budget-friendly stay near Raleigh!
