3-Star Hotels in Mengla

This was probably the biggest surprise of our Yunnan trip – we stumbled upon this village by accident. For city dwellers like us, it felt like a paradise. From an extremely impoverished village to one where everyone has an income, the villagers said it was Professor Li Xiaoyun's team (I'm not sure if that's the correct spelling) who helped the village generate tourism revenue. We booked a three-bedroom room for 1730 yuan a night. It was the second day of the ***** New Year, so that's understandable, but seeing in the reviews that it was a poverty alleviation project, we immediately placed the order. Since we were going to book a guesthouse anyway, it wouldn't hurt to do something good. Driving from the Wangtianshu Scenic Area, there's only one road into the village, and the winding roads scared me half to death! Definitely check in during the day! The one-way street makes passing difficult, especially since we were in a campervan. When we arrived, we were truly shocked. It was a village with only one small shop. To be honest, that might not be accurate; there were no restaurants, no milk tea shops, no convenience stores, no coffee shops – absolutely no commercial establishments. Honestly, I was a little shocked because I didn't expect such a pristine, authentic village. Each guest room was in a different family's home. The village has over 60 households and more than 200 people. You can pay the family you're staying at to have their meals prepared, using vegetables they grow themselves and pigs and chickens they raise themselves. I haven't written this review yet because I really wanted to sit down and write a proper review. If my initial impression of the village was surprise, astonishment, and a little regret, then afterwards it was pure joy, delight, and regret for arriving too late. In the evening, I watched the village girls dancing on the basketball court. The owner of the house I stayed at, Brother Deng, was born in 1984. My husband and father ate and drank with him, and he even took my father and husband to visit other villagers. Everyone in the village was simple, honest, and warm-hearted. Although I couldn't understand their dialect, I could feel everyone's kindness and welcome. Even though the rooms weren't very soundproof—after all, it's a wooden village, part of the Yao culture—it was very clean. You could tell they were putting effort into making this a good tourist destination. I hope Hebian Village continues to thrive. See you next time! If you're willing to put down your phone and experience nature, to escape the city and enjoy a day of simplicity, believe me, it's worth the trip, unforgettable, and truly a return to nature. This special trip perfectly embodies that feeling.

The hotel is located in Nanla New District, very close to Mengla County. It is very convenient to drive. The parking downstairs of the hotel is particularly convenient and safe. Newly opened, all solid wood decoration is tasteless. The bathroom with separate wet and dry areas is very good and the toiletries are of high quality. The front desk service is warm and patient, with a very good attitude. The breakfast is also very good, with a variety of styles and fruits. The elevator is convenient and fast to go up and downstairs. Highly recommended to stay!

The hotel environment and breakfast were average, but the hotel was clean. The service was good. There was a laundry room, which was convenient. Parking was available. Complimentary welcome fruit was provided. The front desk staff were very responsive. Thumbs up! The swimming pool was being cleaned and not filled with water, so I won't comment on that. The rooms were spacious. Again, I want to reiterate that the cleanliness was good and the facilities were new. For a small town, this is considered relatively good accommodation. I would recommend staying here.

This hotel was amazing. It’s only a year old but the amenities look like it’s brand new and inside of the room seems no different from a five-star. The only thing missing was a bathroom scale. Nice courtyard pool below just big enough to do some short laps and a kilometer from the night market. Interesting little area and they have street side eatery outside with a good view. The best part though is the manager Mr. Wu was exceptionally helpful. When he saw me arriving by bicycle, he did everything he could to make my stay more pleasant and even offered to go the extra mile with extra service and help. An unbelievable bargain, and a nice end to my journey. 

This was the second hotel we stayed at on our birdwatching trip in Menglun. It was originally a backup plan because we booked the Wanglian Hotel late, but after staying there, we found it to be a hidden gem. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the west gate of the botanical garden and the suspension bridge, which is very convenient. We walked there from the botanical garden. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were immediately greeted by warm service. The landlady was incredibly welcoming, and there were complimentary candies, snacks, and fruits for guests to enjoy while they waited – a very thoughtful touch. After check-in, you can add the service WeChat account to let them know the breakfast time and location, nearby restaurants, and the Wi-Fi password. The service response time is also very fast; my room had a problem with the TV's internet connection, and it was resolved within 10 minutes. I think that's impressive for the town. The hotel facilities are relatively new, with a mahogany interior and ethnic style. The facilities are quite complete, and surprisingly, it even has a small gym – great! It's nice to get some exercise after a long day. The breakfast selection isn't extensive, but it's sufficient. If you don't want to eat breakfast there, there are many snack shops and night markets nearby. For example, there are many Dai-style restaurants in the village within a 500-meter walk of the hotel, offering authentic local flavors that are worth trying. The hotel has a relatively large parking lot, making it convenient for tourists arriving by car. A small gift is given upon check-out, which is also a nice touch. Overall, we stayed here for two nights, and our biggest impression was how incredibly welcoming the owner was. We were always ready to chat and provided a lot of information. If you're not particularly keen on the botanical garden night tour, this is a very good value accommodation in Menglun.

從辦理入住開始就很舒心，前台工作人員態度特別好，辦理效率高，還很耐心地介紹酒店設施和周邊情況，全程都很有親和力。房間比想象中還要寬敞明亮，採光通風都很不錯，整體裝修簡約又大氣，看着就很舒服。 衞生方面真的沒得説，地面、桌面、衞生間都打掃得乾乾淨淨，沒有一點異味，床品潔白平整，躺上去軟硬適中，睡眠質量直接拉滿。房間裏設施齊全，空調、熱水、網絡都很穩定，洗漱用品品質也不錯，用着放心。隔音效果也很好，晚上基本聽不到外面的噪音，安安靜靜休息得特別好。 酒店公共區域乾淨整潔，電梯運行平穩，整體環境安靜不嘈雜，不管是出差辦公還是旅遊放鬆都很合適。位置也很方便，周邊交通便利，吃飯購物都不遠，出行特別省心。 性價比真的超高，對比同價位酒店，這家不管是服務、環境還是衞生都高出一大截。入住全程沒有任何槽點，體驗感滿分，下次來這邊還會優先選擇這家，真心推薦給大家！

Five stars for Zhouyi International Hotel! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with incredibly attentive service. The complimentary shuttle service saved me a lot of trouble; the receptionist was exceptionally friendly, warm, and professional, and even proactively upgraded my room for free – a truly delightful surprise. The room was clean and comfortable, allowing me to sleep soundly and peacefully. They also provided a complimentary, delicious, and satisfying breakfast – a perfect start to the day. It's rare to find such a thoughtful hotel near the Mohan border. Service, ambiance, and value for money are all top-notch. Highly recommended, I'll definitely stay here again!

First off, the hotel's location is absolutely perfect; it's just a 5-6 minute walk from the North Gate. Next, the front desk service was exceptional. Upon our arrival, the hotel owner personally helped us with our luggage, and the front desk staff were very professional. The check-in process was smooth and seamless. The breakfast was quite good too. For a hotel located near the botanical garden, it offered a surprisingly substantial spread. Finally, we mistakenly booked a room without a window. When we inquired about switching rooms, the hotel generously offered us a complimentary upgrade. Overall, if you're planning a trip to the botanical garden and intend to stay overnight, this hotel is definitely worth considering.

The room is fully equipped with air conditioning, private bathroom, and hot water supply. It is very convenient.
