Ah, Baltimore, a city of rich history and eclectic charm. My wife and I recently had the pleasure of a stay at the Hotel Ulysses, a luxurious retreat nestled in the heart of this vibrant city. True to the reputation of the New York-based design firm, Ash, the Ulysses is nothing short of an architectural marvel. The first thing that catches your eye? The hotel's impeccable aesthetic. It's a masterful blend of old-world charm and modern design, encapsulating the very essence of Baltimore's diverse character. While the rooms might have been a tad on the cozier side, they more than made up for it with their plush comfort and attention to detail. The Ulysses truly exemplifies the notion that beauty lies in the details, and the meticulousness with which they've curated every aspect of the guest experience speaks volumes. The 19th-century charm of the Mount Vernon neighborhood is beautifully echoed within the Ulysses. The delicate stained-glass skylight, the ornate crown molding, and the preserved brass postal box serve as a testament to the building's rich history. But it's not all vintage here. The interiors seamlessly transition from the ornate influences of the Art Nouveau era to a more streamlined approach, evident in the hickory wood furniture adorned with Ash’s custom textiles. And oh, those hand-beaded lampshades and embroidered quilts! They added the perfect splash of color and quirk. A special shout-out to the carved flamingos that support the bedside tables, a delightful nod to Baltimore's own John Waters and his ”Pink Flamingos.” It's this mix of opulence and eccentricity that makes the Ulysses stand out. Booking through Trip.com was a new experience for us. A bit unconventional, sure, but it came through in the clutch. The $35 ”destination fee” threw us for a loop initially, but the $20 credit we received towards our bill at the hotel restaurant (Ash Bar) or the bar (Blooms) made it all worth it. Speaking of Blooms, what an experience! The mirrored ceiling, the crimson banquettes, and the purple stools set the stage for a night to remember. In a nutshell? The Hotel Ulysses is a triumph, an ode to Baltimore's multifaceted spirit. Whether you're here for the history, the design, or the sheer experience, the Ulysses promises and delivers. The room is big, the bathroom is also big, the location is excellent, but the surrounding environment is average. There is no self-owned parking lot, but the doorman can park the car at a nearby public parking lot, and can also pick up the car for you. There is a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, kitchenware and tableware, and the facilities are good. The disadvantage is that it is a bit old.

Great location in the campus, right next door to the grocery and food. LP steamers walkable.

The hotel rooms are very clean and tidy, and comfortable, 🤗 but there is no place to eat around to find a restaurant is difficult, but the better is quiet, next door there is a ** can go to eat, others really no 😅

Hotel is located in center of Baltimore the front desk was excellent very helpful with our check in and luggage storage on checkout. I will definitely recommend this hotel and come back.

The overall hardware environment is good, but after paying the room fee on my online, the offline deduction is repeated, and it took me at least 10 days to communicate and coordinate. The relationship is too complicated, including Ctrip, foreign agents, hotels. It has not been solved so far, it is a headache!

Was looking for a hotel close to comedy show and low and behold it was in the same hotel. So it worked out great for us after checking in went to dinner came back relaxed for 45 min. Then went down stairs to comedy factory. We had free coupons for breakfast but we decided to venture out on our way back to Richmond. Overall nice place to stay found out they also shuttle for cruises out of this hotel too.

The hotel is strategically located and safe, close to Baltimore's inner harbor, with beautiful scenery, high-end business buildings and historical attractions nearby, and it is particularly beautiful to walk at night. A typical American breakfast, not many varieties, eggs, bread and fruit are absolutely full, and the waiter is particularly good. Every Wednesday night, you can enjoy a free dinner, providing rare vegetable salad, unexpected joy. Free coffee and hot water available 24 hours a day in the lobby. Room service did not provide face towels one day, and under the communication of Ctrip customer service, there was a lot of improvement in the next few days. One night, the toilet was suddenly blocked, but the floor service staff and maintenance staff came to dredge in time, and did not affect the residence. Overall, it is recommended to live.

This hotel is just across the road from the convention center. It was clean, safe, friendly and had every amenity I was looking for. I had to book very last minute after a cancellation elsewhere and was thrilled to get a clean, nicely air conditioned room with everything I needed. I will definitely stay here again when traveling to Baltimore
