I was welcomed with a basket of fruits and a moment later some afternoon snacks send to my room as complimentary as well, what a sweet welcome from Santika Hotel. Room is clean as always, everything is in good condition. Breakfast always excellence with various of food, desert and local food. I would love to stay at this property again when visit Malang.

AAncientBackpackAria Gajayana is very well located adjoining a major mall, which is very convenient for dining options. It is a short ride into the centre of town. On the other hand, there is a mosque nearby that starts up at 3.30 and doesn't relent. So if you like sleeping, this might not be the best option.
The rooms are fine, if a bit dated. The shower had extensive mould along the grout lines. I watched the cleaning staff one morning and they did a very thorough job.
Breakfast is extensive. The pool is large and clean.

GGuest UserThe hotel is old but in a good way, means all the hoteliers are well trained & friendly, very reliable too. The location is very strategic, not too far from the main part of the city, but not too close that you get cramped up every time you leave the hotel. It's on the main road, not difficult for online taxis to reach. Parking's not huge, but enough for the guests (in my opinion, the parking's way better than any other hotels i've seen down the road).
The hotel room is old but clean, in my opinion. The bathrooms are clean & spacious. Although some of the furnitures shows its age & the locks are worn out, all the areas are super clean.
One thing that is most memorable is the body wash! Love the body wash, so fragrant!
If you're looking for a getaway & simply for rest, this is a hotel for you. This hotel might not provide cable/netflix, (there's still wifi dont worry) or facilities like the gym, BUT this hotel works for me who's looking to rest and relax.
This hotel feels like a trip down memory lane, just like malang. Very nostalgic in the best way possible

NNura SulaimanThe room is just the right size for a couple or a small family of 3- 2 adults and a child. The bed is comfortable. The shower is separated from the toilet bowl area. The TV is not a smart and no Netflix or YouTube. The swimming pool is not big so be aware if you and your family want to swim, choose the right timing to avoid crowds. The gym is facing the pool. There are several food options surrounding the hotel. The carpark is small too located at basement. Overall, it is an okay place to stay. Clean and comfortable.

Pros: Very large room with a cool mountain wall mural. Clean bed and decent amenities. Excellent location walking distance to the train station, the Rainbow Village and the Blue Village.
Cons: The bathroom tub had some black mold spots. Breakfast started a bit later than 6 am, which was an issue due to early morning travel plans. Still, for the price, it’s great value.

GGuest UserWow... Grand Cakra Malang was amazing for our family Christmas vacation in Malang. There's a GMS Church in the hotel ballroom, so we could attend service there – absolutely incredible! I didn't realize all of God's blessings before. We had a memorable Christmas at Grand Cakra. There are many coffee shops and eateries in front of the hotel. It's in the Arraya area, an upscale residential neighborhood in Malang... It was great staying for 4 days and 3 nights. The 2-bedroom suite with breakfast was fantastic, and it was also close to the pool, so my grandkids could swim. Overall, it was wonderful. Thanks, Trip.com, for always getting us the best deals! 😍😍👍👍❤️
