Top 5-Star Hotels in Northeast Penang Island

A very enjoyable experience with some of the best decor of any boutique hotel, not just in Asia. The staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and make us feel special. The hotel lacks decent gym facilities and the pool needs a mid-height front privacy wall to separate it from the street, but otherwise, it is fabulous. The food is good to very good and the international wine list is broad and well balanced in price and variety. And, the first drink on the house each evening helps settle you in for the evening after a hard day's trekking around Georgetown. Much to be liked. Recommended vs any cookie-cutter hotel for the same price.

When I chose, I was worried about the taste of the newly opened hotel. I was entangled for a long time, but I liked it very much. I like the design of the hotel very much, there is Nanyang style, and the staff's clothing is also matched with the overall design. The service staff were very nice, the early flight arrived, and the welcome drink was very refreshing. You can stay at 12:00. The little brother at the front desk said that I only opened the day before I went to live, and I was the first guest of the day. The room design is worthy of a new hotel, very reasonable, independent cloakroom and dressing table, bathtub and living room facing the sea view, very pleasant, is a hand-held hanging iron, no longer a bulky iron, I like it very much! I was very entangled before that the Bincheng East Hotel was still Autograph. After going out to play, I passed by the East Hotel and felt that my choice was very wise! Because it was really noisy at night, it was very quiet compared to Autograph! I was pleasantly surprised to receive a small gift from the hotel's turndown at night. The disadvantage is that it has just opened, and it still has a bit of taste. It is estimated that it will be fine after a while. Then the smoke on the bed flashed, and the bad sleep may affect it. I also gave feedback to the front desk lady, and it is estimated that it will be solved.

We recently stayed at Shangri-La Rasa Sayang in Penang for three nights, and it was an exceptional experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and provided outstanding service throughout our stay. The food was fantastic. The ambiance of the resort is perfect for relaxation. We stayed in the Rasa Wing, which offered access to the adult-only pool—a serene and peaceful retreat. All the pools were beautifully maintained, and we truly enjoyed spending time there.

The room that I stayed in at was absolutely breathtaking. It was spacious, elegantly decorated, and had a stunning view of the sea .The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was luxurious with a large bathtub and a rain shower. I felt like a pampered guest throughout my stay, thanks to the thoughtful amenities provided in the room.

The location is very good. After dark, you will find a bar street when you walk out, so you can find a quiet place in the bustle! The retro and nostalgic style blends well with the hotel... It's very convenient for eating, shopping and drinking! Very close to nearby attractions. The service in the hotel is very friendly, the breakfast is convenient and simple, and there is also afternoon tea service~

Loved my stay! We were soooo happy to be upgraded to a room with a view that was sooooo spacious! Stayed there for four nights over nye and had a great view of the fireworks!! My only complaint would be that there isn’t a Nespresso coffee machine in the room (which is a surprise given that most hotels now offer them) nor do they provide cotton wool (isn’t that also a basic provision?). Do note that the hotel doesn’t provide complimentary bottled water either, and only tap with filtered water… however I did appreciate them giving out mint water/ pandan bluepea water in the afternoon for guests (wished that it’s all day long!) at the lobby.

Love the vibes of hotel. Suit for people who love calmness and quiet place. However my BAD experience that spoil the whole mood is when im been charge for late checkout without information of late check out ”rate”. Usually im staying at all hotel 5 stars at feringghi ( I already tried all 5 stars hotel at feringghi) even other than feringghi 5 stars hotel wont charge you 1hour for RM54 like lone pine. I BEEN CHARGE FOR RM 108 for 2 hours late checkout 12-2pm for marriot hotel. This is unacceptable. I want highlight for service 4stars hotel like you doesnt allowed for late checkout at all must sharp at 12pm must prior inform to guest. I late checkout until 2pm because I do solat first at room. Usually receptionist will call at 12.30-1pm to inform about can or not late checkout and have rate. BUT FOR LONE PINE. DONT call and DONT give any information about late checkout. So I thought Its okay like others 4-5stars hotel and for hotel under ”MARRIOT”. I regret because not receive information about late checkout rate. My advise is for people who usually familiar with 4-5stars sevice. This hotel doesn't provide those.reconsider for this hotel that dont allowed you checkout late than 12pm. Must sharp before 12pm. OTHERWISE THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR RM54/HOUR.

Quite a pleasant surprise! With its location, we were able to do our own tour to many places of interest by walking. Even George Town is pretty old, but Prestige hotel had been completely modernised internally giving one a fairy tale feel. We had a loft suite and everything was complimentary, from welcome bottle of wine, fruit plate to mini bar and executive lounge service. Our room was cleaned twice a day and there were always clean towels to use. We particularly like the filter system within our room for drinking water. Swimming pool was a bit small but the horizon view was fantastic. Gym was small with a few equipment only.

E&O is our favourite hotel in Penang. Being a local Penangite, we frequently ate at Sarkies and even had our wedding in this hotel 10 years ago. We're back in this hotel for our anniversary, however we were a little disappointed with our stay. The bathtub in our corner suite is extremely dirty and stained. We asked the housekeepers to clean it as we wanted to use it. Worse of all, when we filled the tub with water, to our horror, the water was brown in colour!! Not sure if there is proper maintenance done to ensure the water supply is not tainted. The housekeepers also did not refill the complimentary mini bar items despite stating that our suite includes replenishment of the mini bar items on a daily basis. The surface area and tables were not wiped properly as well when they came to clean the room. We hope the management would seriously look into this matter, especially on the water source and overall cleanliness of the suite / bathroom.

Almost perfect holiday at the Parkroyal Penang.. ++ plus points: 1. room was spacious with fun pool amenities 2. beach view is beautiful during sunset 3. had interesting monkey visitors at our huge balcony 4. appreciative of the pleasant service in general from day houskeeping to F&B crew Unfortunately with some glaring misses 😣 - - minus points: 1. checked in room at the evening, noted floor and day bed had lotsa sand particles. Night housekeeping came to rectify so late while we are eating in room meals and told us to then wait for next day housekeeping because it is near their knock off time😧😅 2. Reception made a mistake to actually charge my credit card for $400 deposit, instead of holding the deposit 😏. Was informed during checkout to wait for 2 weeks refund. 😩 3. breakfast selection could have been better in view that it is a 5🌟hotel. New food at buffet line could have been replaced earlier, when finished.
