First Landing Beach Resort & Villas Reviews

Services was good, affordable price for families or couples, food was good, 20 min drive from airport, nice way to finish trip after visiting the islands! :)

It is the most beautiful resort, amazing staff and food.

We arrived earlier than check in time with hopes of getting the ability to check in.  Unfortunately that wasn’t possible so we waited in the lobby area.   Once checked in to our room we were satisfied with the accommodations…until the insects showed up.   My spouse is very allergic to mosquito stings and unfortunately was the recipient of many.   All of that aside-we tried to enjoy ourselves.   We did until senor mouse showed up, or should I say senor mouse and family.   There were many.    Still, we wanted to unwind, relax and forget all of that.   We had an extremely early flight out of the country and needed a 4am pick up.  The front desk clerk assured us that was not a problem.   She wrote it in the book!   We checked twice again the night before and she repeatedly guaranteed a prompt 4am pick up.   The morning of our flight  came and we went to the front area as directed for pick up by 3:50am.   There was a security person in the hut.  He told us the taxi was on the way.   We waited (with the mosquitoes) quietly….and waited.   4:10am no cab.   We we’re getting nervous and asked the guard to check please.   Next a staff worker came out and told us “on the way.”   He asked what room we were in.   He left at that point only to double check our room for any possible issues they could charge us for.   Minutes turned into almost an hour.  We we’re getting frantic with thoughts of missing our international flight.   No taxi…no taxi.    Finally the same staff member came out and sat in the hotel van for several minutes with us asking for him to please take us the several miles to the airport.  At last he started the engine and came to pick us up.  The van did not have working seatbelts which added to our mounting anxiety-but we were on our way at last.    He had the van’s air conditioning at full blast blowing directly on our heads.  I asked if he could turn it off or down.   No reply.   We arrived at the airport at which time he asked for double the amount of money we first gave him.  We paid and just made it in time for our flight.

Our second time at First Landing which was just as good. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Royal Beachfront Villa which is in the lush gardens with a view of the sea. We also did kayaking and took part in activities. A great stay.

Great resort. Conveniently close to the airport. Very friendly staff.

The hotel was pretty close to the airport so it's easy to get to. Also close to a lot of the tourist spots to visit. The staff are so friendly and helpful.

Highly recommended very good services and would recommend for families

Hot water didnt work despite advising no one called back to check. Hotel didnt advise of renovations in room next door, was noisy overnight. Had to call back n check with reception. Not a very pleasant experience overall.

Worth a stay even just for the food selection and quality

Decent resort but dated rooms and amenities. Most of the staff was great but the reception and drop off staff could certainly do better. We felt a lack of welcoming warmth from the start which only got redeemed by the room and service staff later.

Beautiful Oceanview Bure with a lovely large bed. The resort offers good food and the staff are all very friendly and helpful.

The First Landing seems a bit out of touch and was surely one of the first hotels in the area. It now has a retro charm in many ways, but when I was there, there was a lot of painting and renovation work going on. The grounds are incredibly spacious and very quiet. The rooms are quite large, and there are big verandas in front of the bungalows, protected by mosquito nets, similar to those in Florida. However, the prices are a bit steep, and you have to shell out 10 Fijian dollars for a bottle of still water. Massages are also significantly cheaper in town, though perhaps not as idyllic in the spa pavilion. Otherwise, it's located outside of Nadi, and you really need a car. Next door (within walking distance) is the yacht harbor with a nice bar, where there's always something going on and locals and tourists mingle. For the days leading up to your connecting flight, it's definitely nicer and more relaxing than staying at Nadi Beach next to the runway.

Conveniently located near the airport, spacious accommodations, delicious food, local dance performances every Friday, reasonable prices.
