Wonderful location. Very clean. Good service. Friendly and helpful staff. We experienced a mild earthquake in early morning. There was announcement after the alarm to the hotel room after the shake. However, it was only in Japanese. It would be better if the announcement could be in English as well. Anyway, the reception took our call and explained the situation quickly.

The hotel is walking distance to Wakayama castle. The rooms are clean because it’s a renovated hotel this year. The morning breakfast buffet is amazing. A varieties of food are there. And also many kinds of drinks are there.

Very cost-effective hotel. The room is very clean and tidy, and the hotel's service is also very good. If you arrive early, your luggage can be kept for you. The breakfast variety is rich and delicious for the price. It is very convenient to go to the city center with JR. I will stay here again when I go to Tokushima in the future.

The scenery directly facing the hotel is quite a sight, and it can be considered an excellent view. The room is a standard Japanese-style tatami. It is not big, but it is enough to spread out luggage and sleep on the tatami. The rooms all face the fishing port directly. When the weather is good, you can see the sunset, which is very beautiful with the sound of the fishing port bells. Dinner and breakfast are all Japanese-style, and they are all great👍 Transportation is inconvenient, only bus No. 30 can get there, and it only leaves once an hour. Taking a taxi from Wakayama JR Station costs about 3,800 yen. There are no restaurants or shops around. The hot spring also faces the fishing port. In the evening and morning, the male and female hot springs will swap. You need to make a reservation in advance for the private soup, and there is a high probability that the venue will be fully booked. The Panasonic massage chair in the Free lounge is great. It is a model that is not available in China. It is very relaxing to have a massage after soaking in the hot spring.

Candeo is right on Wakayama-Shi Train station, which makes it incredibly convenient. Sound-proofing ensures perfect sleep and no disturbance from trains or traffic etc. The staff accepted early check-in at 2pm and were incredibly courteous, professional, English-speaking and kind. Really excellent. Some large Japanese hotel chains are not entirely geared to the ”international market” and the attitude to non-Japanese guests can be less than ideal. NOT CANDEO. The staff are comfortable with an international clientele, cheerful and welcoming. How wonderful! The entire hotel is extremely clean and well-run. Everything says ”professional”. The flower arrangements on each floor are REAL. Flowers are extremely expensive in Japan. The view from the reception area (Floor 11) is fantastic. The spa (Floor 12) is open air, with a great view and a magical feel. I enjoyed my stay very much and I hope to return to Candeo soon.

The overall environment and breakfast and dinner are all good. I booked a sea view room with a bathroom. When I booked, I mistakenly thought that the room had a private hot spring bath. I went there and found out that it was only a public one. It is beautiful near the sea, very quiet, and a pleasant holiday choice! From 3:00 to 6:00 in the afternoon, free drinks and ice cream are provided, which can be chosen. The Japanese bath robes at the front desk can be freely selected in patterns and colors, which are very beautiful for taking pictures.

Although the facility was not new, it was well cleaned and clean. The food was delicious, and the people who served and the receptionist were very friendly and nice, so it was comfortable.

It's an old hotel with good hygiene, average location and quiet surrounding. There is not much business around, and you have to go a little further to eat and drink. There are toiletries and maps in the lobby, which is quite convenient.
