Daiwa Roynet Hotel Wakayama

The room is spacious and clean, with convenient transportation and shopping. The view is absolutely beautiful.

This is the most iconic hotel in Wakayama City, located right across from Wakayama Castle and within walking distance. Every morning, you can enjoy breakfast with views of the castle, nestled amongst green trees, and the castle tower. The breakfast quality is superb; every dish is meticulously prepared, looking as good as it tastes. This was a highly satisfactory hotel during our Kansai Kii Peninsula trip to Japan. It boasts a convenient location and transport, excellent service, and comprehensive yet practical facilities. The only hiccup was that we had booked and paid for three people with three separate beds, but upon check-in, we were told one adult would have to share a bed with a child. It wasn't until we showed our booking photos that they clarified the situation and provided an extra bed. In Japan, accommodation is charged per person, so these details need to be carefully considered.

On the first day of our stay, there was a small hiccup. The bottled water in the room wasn't sealed, it was just sitting there. Luckily, I noticed it and had a hotel staff member replace it. **Hygiene:** The wet and dry separation in the bathroom was very good. **Facilities:** Pretty standard. However, there wasn't any Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk; only the self-check-in machine had Chinese prompts. **Environment:** There are many restaurants nearby, though a bit too many Wakayama ramen places. Wakayama Castle is just across the road, and the bus stop right outside is convenient for getting to Wakayama Station and Wakayamashi Station. Overall, it's still a very good hotel.

The room offers a direct view of the castle, which is lovely. Check-in was easy with the self-service machine, and the room was very clean. However, it's a bit inconvenient as it takes about four or five bus stops to get to the JR station.

The location is fantastic! You get a great view of Wakayama Castle, day and night, right from your room. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes downstairs, and a bus stop right outside that goes directly to Wakayama JR Station. I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit!

The hotel has a great location with direct views of Wakayama Castle, and there's a bus stop right outside. It's about a 20-30 minute walk to the JR station, and mostly a straight path, which is pretty convenient. The room size itself was quite good, offering excellent value for money.

You can see a really beautiful view from here. It was a very quiet and clean hotel. It was my first time staying, and the explanations were very clear. I would definitely like to stay here again when I come back to Wakayama.
