Very nice hotel and close to the ski area and ski equipment rental. Just like 1 min walk. Hotel also have both internal and external onsen. Daily meals are wonderful too.

It is a very great location if you want to ski in Zao Onsen ski field. Literally the hotel is 200 meters away from the ski field base and 100 meters from a few gears rental stores.

It is super convenient for people who need to ski. The cable car station is about 5 minutes' walk from the door. Friends who are traveling by car can park outside the hotel. Even after checking out, the hotel is very happy to let us continue to park the car there. The only drawback is that the breakfast and dinner are not quite to our personal taste.

Although the facilities are a bit old, there is no separate shower in the room (you can only take a shower in the hot spring public bath), only a washbasin and a toilet, but the overall style is very Japanese, and the food and service are very good. In particular, the hotel's hot spring is very good. After soaking, the skin is smooth. The open-air hot spring downstairs can also be bathed while watching the snow, which is really a wonderful enjoyment. The hotel can provide short-distance pick-up and drop-off services, such as from the Zao bus station to the hotel or from the hotel to the ski lift station, etc., just call the hotel front desk. The hotel service staff mainly speaks Japanese, but can also communicate in simple English.

The hotel room was very clean, the dinner was very rich, and the breakfast was average. I went there during the off-season, and compared to other hot spring hotels I've been to, the hot spring facilities were a bit shabby. It's very close to the ski resort, so it should be good in winter. Overall, it feels like a warm old Japanese hotel.
