Thermae Bath Spa

A dip in the waters of Thermae Bath Spa, located across the street from the Roman Baths, is a unique opportunity to experience the same thermal waters that have drawn people as far back as the Celts to the area for thousands of years. The facility itself is a pleasing architectural blend of a new modern glass-faced structure built in 2006 and original Georgian-era buildings. The main bathing area, the New Royal Bath, consists of a stunning open-air rooftop swimming pool plus an indoor pool, two thermal baths, two steam rooms, as well as an "ice chamber." Also worth checking out are the original 18th-century "hot bath" and the delightful garden-side wellness suite. #culturalattractions

Absolutely fantastic experience. Well worth the money! What interesting history. There is so much information in here one could spend hours reading all the details of the artifacts the excavation has found. I found the inscribed lead tablets particularly interesting, both the prayers and the curses. The history of the place is so dense its easy to see how someone could spend a lifetime studying in even a small area like this. Definitely worth a visit. I also really liked the holographic presentations in the rooms that help visualize what life could have been like in the various rooms of the baths. The audio tour was interesting and informative. The museum exhibit was far more extensive than expected, and of course the baths themselves! Absolutely beautiful, and the idea that you're walking in the footsteps of people thousands of years ago 😀 2 warnings... 1st, Google says to allow 1 1/2 to 2 hours. If you want to make the most of the audio tour and the exhibits I'd allow at least 2 1/2 Hours. ( you really get your money's worth!) 2nd, as other reviews say..... the water really does taste nasty. 🤣

Mencintai Dalam Sepi

We chose this hotel due to the location. It is in walking distance from City Centre. The bed and room was comfortable. If you parked your car in the parking lot, you got lucky. Finding parking in Bath is a luxury. The hotel parking lot is a public parking lot and fills rapidly. The breakfasts are typical for Holiday Inn Express and I've never been sure if the eggs are real or not. But it works, it provides sustenance to begin the day without having to find a place that serves breakfast. Driving is terrible in Bath. If you order in the restaurant later in the day, the food is lackluster, and DO NOT order the nachos. I ordered nachos with shredded beef thinking it's hard to mess up nachos. I am not sure what I received. A pile of tortilla chips, a huge wallop of sour cream on one corner, a tablespoon of whip puree avocado? on another corner of the plate, about 2 tablespoons of salsa in a cup. I think there was a wee tiny bit of melted cheese on the plate, it was hard to tell. Oh, and the shredded beef came in a tray to the side. It was in a brown sauce in a mixture of 30% shredded beef and 70% whole white beans and was completely without taste. What a waste of money and it did not resemble nachos by any stretch of the means. I ate 3 chips and left the rest of it. There is an Indian Cuisine restaurant across the street that looked good, along with a hamburger joint and a sushi restaurant. Both those were good day. #themepark#nationalpark#lakes#beaches

A glimpse of the well-reserved Roman Baths

Getting There - we booked a day tour to Bath from London Attractions - The place is located in the city of Bath, Somerset, England. It gives a glimpse of history about how Roman bath was constructed and its development. Walking through the site, you can see the display of the past urban development in this area.
