Hanzhong Gate | Yulan Magnolia

Hanzhong Gate | Yulan Magnolia

| Yulan Magnolia. The 600-year-old city wall of Hanzhong Gate, adorned with Yulan magnolias, offers a different charm than the glazed beauty of Chaotian Palace. The scenery here is more rustic and mellow. 🌸 The red Yulan magnolias at Hanzhong Gate are 50% in bloom, with the rest still in bud. The white Yulan magnolias have not yet bloomed, possibly due to sunlight. Unlike the magnolias at 1865, which are already half withered, the ones at Hanzhong Gate are expected to last until next weekend.

Take advantage of the weekend to be a happy child in the mountains for two days. Brewing tea by the stove, watching the sunrise, breathing the mountain air, Every single thing helps to soothe the whole person. - This time, I chose a pet-friendly guesthouse. The place has three super adorable and clingy dogs. You can spot them everywhere in the yard. - The room comes with a small terrace. Sitting outside at night for tea, and getting up early the next day to watch the sunrise, Watching the dogs run around in the yard, It's truly a beautiful scene. - The breakfast is for one person, with delicate presentation and also tastes great~ There are several small but exquisite coffee shops near the guesthouse. For busy city dwellers, Having a place of tranquility to switch and adjust, Is also a kind of longed-for life🌈

Hongshan Forest Zoo: Shattering All Your Zoo Stereotypes

Hongshan Forest Zoo: Shattering All Your Zoo Stereotypes

Hidden amidst the lush hills north of Nanjing lies a zoo that defies traditional expectations. As a seasoned visitor who's returned for five years running, let me tell you: Hongshan Forest Zoo isn't an animal prison, but a vibrant animal utopia. Here, there are no rote animal performances, only a thoughtfully constructed paradise for its inhabitants. 【Immersive Exhibits That Tell a Story】 As you wander along the undulating paths, each exhibit unfolds as a captivating spatial narrative. The Asian Primate House, with its two-tiered design, offers glimpses through glass walls of gibbons gracefully swinging through the canopy and golden monkeys grooming each other amidst the rocks. The most striking is the Chinese Felidae House, where, within a network of caves built into the natural hillside, lynxes saunter along cliff edges and leopard cats dart nimbly beside streams. Every turn reveals a new chapter in a live nature documentary. 【Animals Are the Stars of the Show】 The enrichment designs here are nothing short of art. The meerkat exhibit's tunnel system spans the entire sandy enclosure, allowing visitors to observe their bustling social lives through periscopes. Wolf Valley retains its original topography, and across the stream, you can often hear the echoing howls of wolves in a chorus. Most intriguing is the bear house's "blind box feeder." Witnessing a brown bear skillfully maneuvering a tree trunk mechanism with its paws to retrieve hidden fruit elicits cheers from the crowd that rival any magic show. 【A Heartwarming Celebrity Meet-and-Greet】 The panda house is perpetually popular, but the stars here exude a unique tranquility. As "Ping Ping" leisurely munches on bamboo leaves, the audible crunching sounds bring home the true majesty of this national treasure. The koala house offers the warmest interaction, where the sight of furry koalas dozing in eucalyptus trees prompts visitors to instinctively lower their voices. Don't miss the native species conservation area, where a chance encounter with a muntjac deer strolling through the reeds is a truly delightful surprise. 【Unlocking Hidden Gems】 Head straight to the koala house at opening to witness the heartwarming weighing and feeding ritual. The hilltop observation deck next to the tiger enclosure offers breathtaking panoramic city views, often adorned with a sea of clouds on autumn afternoons. Stamp collectors can pick up a special passport at the visitor center and embark on a quest to collect 12 unique stamps throughout the zoo. The AR telescopes at the Gondwana exhibit are highly recommended; scan the vegetation to witness the magical resurrection of ancient creatures in the real-world environment. 【Insider Tips for Travelers】 Arrive before 9:00 am for the best experience, as animals are most active in the morning. Wear comfortable athletic shoes (the zoo is equivalent to three Forbidden Cities in size). Bringing your own lunch is more economical (picnicking on the benches by the lake near the north gate is recommended). Plan for at least 5 hours to explore, as the late afternoon light is ideal for capturing stunning photos in the Tropical Bird House. When you see an elephant skillfully peeling layers of fresh grass with its trunk, or discover an orangutan constructing its own sunshade, you'll suddenly grasp the meaning of the phrase at the zoo's entrance: "Life is not a tool to please humans." This zoo, which rejects animal performances, teaches us reverence for life in the gentlest way. If you're tired of superficial sightseeing, come here and embark on a healing journey filled with meaningful encounters with the natural world.

Home Inn Business Hotel - Liuhe Jinning Square Store

📍"Address" Jinning Square Store, navigate to the underground parking lot of Jinning Square. Choose a monthly rental parking space, remember the parking location, and confirm with the front desk again at the hotel. To get from the parking lot to the hotel, you can choose to walk up the stairs to the ground level, be sure to remember the exit. 🏩"Environment" There are few large bed rooms with windows, and the standard rooms with windows are compact. The overall environment is clean and tidy, but the walls have some dirty marks. 🚽"Facilities" Shower hot water, hair dryer, slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste, wooden comb, mineral water and other basic facilities are complete. The air conditioner switch is touch screen, and the cooling effect is good. The only downside is the poor TV signal. 🍽"Breakfast" The hotel breakfast variety is average, with regular dishes such as fried rice, fried noodles, steamed eggs, but no soy milk. The pumpkin porridge tastes good. Overall, as a business trip, for a night's sleep and a transition, it is still acceptable to stay.

Lingyan Mountain in Nanjing.

Lingyan Mountain in Nanjing.

In Nanjing, there is a mountain that was once the backyard of emperors and the place where monks practiced. It is Lingyan Mountain, which is beautiful and has many temples. Lingyan Mountain is also known as Linggui Mountain because it looks like a turtle. It is said that Emperor Wu of Han came here for a tour and saw its strange mountain shape, so he named it Ling Mountain and listed it as a royal forbidden garden. During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, there were many temples on Lingyan Mountain, and the incense was very strong. It was a place where monks gathered. Today, Lingyan Mountain is still full of incense. There are three thousand-year-old ginkgo trees in the temple. The largest one is called the largest ginkgo tree in Jinling. Every autumn, it attracts countless tourists to check in. Lingyan Mountain is not only a beautiful mountain, but also a place full of history and culture. Come to Nanjing and feel the unique charm of this city here!

Sunset at the CityWalk Yanzi Pier Park Ferry in Nanjing

Sunset at the CityWalk Yanzi Pier Park Ferry in Nanjing

Sunset at the CityWalk Yanzi Pier Park Ferry in Nanjing Exit from Exit 3 of Yanzi Pier Station on Subway Line 1! Compared to the scenic spots in the city, it's really less crowded and more beautiful! Navigate to Guanyin Gate and you'll arrive at the second picture, after going up the plank road you can continue to explore deeper, inside is the Guanyin Gate Park We just went up for a stroll, took a look and then returned the same way, continued walking forward, the second picture is taken looking back at the intersection, now the cherry blossoms are gone ②Keep walking and you'll reach Yanzi Pier Park, didn't go in but continued walking forward to the riverside, the river breeze is very comfortable! The weather was super good this afternoon, lots of people walking their kids, pitching tents on the lawn, flying kites, after strolling by the river for a while we went back to Yanzi Pier Park (entrance ticket is 10 yuan on-site), the park is not big, you need to climb some stairs to get to the high ground, actually the scenery is quite nice After coming out, right next to it is the Yanzi Pier Wharf, where you can take a free ferry (departures are scheduled, it's advised to check the time in advance, although it's free you need to swipe a bus card), from Yanzi Pier to Baguazhou the last departure is at 17:30, originally thought about taking the ferry to watch the sunset just right, but the sun was blocked by clouds, didn't see it. There's not much to see or do at Baguazhou, and the nearby subway station is far away, so take the ferry back to Yanzi Pier (the last one is at 18:00), which is equivalent to getting off at Baguazhou Pier and then queuing up again to board. Nearby there is also Yanzi Pier Riverside Park, Mu Yan Riverside Scenic Area, and Damo Ancient Town, didn't have enough time to visit, will go next time! Hope there's a beautiful sunset next time.
