Introduction Vietnamese Cuisine Cooking Experiences in Hanoi

Introduction
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate

Hanoi invites you to step into a cooking class surrounded by fireworks, explore the essence of Vietnamese cuisine in the ancient streets and alleys, and start a wonderful journey on the tip of your tongue.

Authentic course content: Usually the course will last 3-5 hours. It starts with buying fresh ingredients from the local market. Each ingredient will be explained, including the background of the ingredients including culture, customs and practices. The content focuses on traditional delicacies such as Hanoi beef noodles, fresh and fragrant spring rolls, Vietnamese meatballs, egg coffee, etc. You can learn the secrets of making rice noodle soup, the thin and light spring roll wrappers, and the unique pre-processing of other ingredients, and experience the unique flavor of Vietnamese cooking. After one class, students can make 4-6 authentic Hanoi delicacies by themselves, and sit down to enjoy the fruits of their labor after cooking.

Small class teaching, experienced teachers: The class adopts a small class teaching system, which allows the teacher to take care of all students, and students can share their experiences and exchange food culture from all over the world. The atmosphere is warm and harmonious. The chefs who teach are all locals, rooted in the Hanoi catering industry, and are well versed in local food. We will adopt a teaching method of "theory first, practice later" and provide patient guidance throughout the process to ensure that every student understands and masters the cooking steps and can perform the operations independently to improve their cooking skills.

The facilities are practical: The cooking area is bright and ventilated. The kitchen utensils are not gorgeous but complete. The traditional earth stove is matched with a modern stove to meet various cooking needs. The ingredients are all collected from local markets, fresh and juicy, such as perilla, mint leaves, lemon leaves, etc., to restore the most authentic Hanoi flavor.

Take a cooking class in Hanoi. Whether you are a tourist interested in Vietnamese cuisine or a student who wants to improve his cooking skills, you can find your own cooking fun here and leave your own gourmet memory.

LONG NIGHT.S

A coffee shop at the bottom of the alley is right, Trang Thi street is a one-way street so to find the shop, you have to search slowly, otherwise it takes a lot of effort to find it from the beginning. The shop has no sign, the facade is pretty rough but it's pretty when you enter the space, discreet cozy style suitable for dating. Long Nights has two floors, 1st floor seems to be towards a group of friends for weekend chat, 2nd floor lots of sofas to sleep on, winter is cuddly here c-like it. The second floor area also has a mini projector for your comfort to use, projecting anything. Whenever it's sunny, the bar space is filled with golden rays that look good with poetry. The shop is so empty, I sit all morning without seeing any customers. Hopefully after this article, more people will know the shop more for the owner to be happy I used a plum coldbrew but not impressed, coldbrew was bitterly sweet so it lost the taste of coffee. Specific drinks need to be improved even more. a #songkran2024 #cherryblossom2024 #historicallandmarks #localguides #foodphotography #goodfoods #coffeeshop #cafe

BOOK IN BAR

Book in bar is a small, quiet cafe, very suitable for studying or working. It was my own big mistake not to know about Book in bar sooner and write a review for everyone so that everyone could have a new place to hide for themselves. Although the space is only one floor, there are many seats, most of the tables and chairs are high tables and chairs, and there are electrical outlets around for guests to conveniently use. Each table is arranged with an additional lamp, providing adequate light for guests but still maintaining a quiet, cozy space. Besides, the shop still has a row of low chairs for customers to chat, but everyone who comes here maintains the common space and speaks very softly, which makes me like it even more. The way to get to the shop is a bit difficult, it's easiest to find using Google Map :3 ☕️ The menu is diverse from coffee to tea, I tried an apple mint tea and a salty roasted rice cream tea. My apple mint tea has a bit of a strong mint flavor, and the tea is also a bit too sweet. If I could reduce these two ingredients, I think the tea would fit better. My friend complimented me on roasted rice tea that it was delicious, light in taste and easy to drink. Before I went there, I saw a story about the shop uploading carot cakes and cinamon rolls, so I was curious to try them out. Unfortunately, the day I visited, the shop didn't have those two cakes huhu :( If anyone has tried them, please review them and let me know, I like them. Very nice carot cake #historicallandmarks #localguides #goodfoods #foodphotography #coffeeshop #bar #cafe

NƯƠNG NAU

#vietnamtrip A coffee shop for those who like to go to coffee shops alone or simply want to find a quiet coffee shop. Just like its name, Nương Nầu is hidden behind Chu Du Tea Shop, you have to go deep into the alley to find a small, pretty order stall with a pretty square window. The shop space is small, not many seats. The outdoor area is the most chill, for those who like to sit outdoors to work like me. The space inside is more cozy, there are soft sofas but a bit dark, in the photo I had to turn up the lights quite a bit. Overall, the shop is cute and small, only opened for a week. The drink menu is diverse but there are many dishes that are not ready to serve because they are still in the product testing phase. I ordered a Bony Fancy creamy coffee, but the coffee was a bit burnt and bitter. Hopefully next time I come to the shop, I will be able to try some of the creative Matcha dishes that look attractive. Address: 13B NGUYEN GIA THIEU, HOAN KIEM (IN THE ALLEY NEXT TO CHU DU TEA), HANOI, VIETNAM

Special

This is a very unique sort of a place with the vintage ambience. There is something artistic about it as well as old and photogenic. It was a really nice place, that is sort of hidden from the road so you can't hear the bike or car sounds which was great. The place was cozy and there are some muaic instruments. The music was great too. We went in the afternoon for a while and then went back again in the evening because we liked it so much. It was lot better than places with tourists and noise. We tried their cold brew coffee and passion fruit juice. Both were very nice. #vietnamtrip #hanoi #hiddencafes

Minh Lam

#100waysoftravel A relaxing, cozy place, with a stylish design and refined and pure drinks. Minh Lam Teahouse with a rustic and sophisticated Asian design, spacious 2-storey space, high ceiling and harmonious interior system. A highlight and something that I quite like at Minh Lam is the large Cau Giay lamp system that creates a feeling of relaxation and "Zen" spirit. Using ancient tea from the highlands of Vietnam, exploited and processed by hand. Although the signature is tea, the overall menu is diverse, with coffee, fruit juice and cakes. I tried Oolong tea with nut milk combined with dew pearls (sweet potato powder + tapioca starch). The tea is fragrant, the layer of oat milk is rich and fatty, although it is milk tea, the ingredients are friendly to health and vegetarians can also try it.

Phe chay

#vietnamtrip Phe chay is a coffee shop with dishes made from plant ingredients, I accidentally saw the chill chill garden of the shop on IG and it looked so cool so I had to come and try it. The shop is hidden deep in San Quan alley on Kham Thien street (this is also the first time I know about this alley). The shop has a small and pretty space with 3 floors, with the 1st and 3rd floors being open outdoor spaces and the 2nd floor being an indoor area with cool air conditioning. As mentioned above, I like the 3rd floor area the most, simply a small and pretty yard with lots of green trees, with wooden branches interwoven above, so every time there is sunlight, the whole yard lights up in streaks. As for the decor, it's quite old, creating a peaceful and cozy feeling when you first step in. I find the 2nd floor a bit dark, I hope the restaurant will arrange more lights. I see that the vegetarian menu has quite a few dishes such as vegetarian vermicelli soup, porridge with pork belly, fermented pork rolls, etc. There are too many options, but I'm a Libra so I chose the combo with both drinks and food. The Le Te Phe combo includes 1 vegetarian vermicelli soup and 1 signature drink (I used Moc Chi tea - jasmine oolong, lychee, pandan leaves). The vermicelli soup here is delicious ~ the broth is light and sour (the highlight of the bowl of vermicelli), the toppings are as plentiful as regular vermicelli soup must try. Address: 15 Ng. DEAR NOVEMBER

A cafe with a super pretty Korean facade just opened right in the Lang Pagoda area, guys. Wow, right from the front of the shop, I really liked it. It looked exactly like the cafes in Korea. How cleverly there was a beautiful star fruit tree hanging in front of the shop's door. When the flowers bloom, I'm sure to love it. The shop has only one floor, a very small space consisting of an indoor part and an outdoor corridor. I'm in love with the round windows here, taking pictures through the windows looks so pretty. The tables and chairs here are all high enough for studying and working, but the owner still arranged a rather large sofa for those who like to recline. The space is small, so please pay attention here to avoid noise and maintain order in the restaurant space. ☕️ I ordered a London Fog (45k), the foam layer is soft and delicious, mixed with the sweetness of Earl Gray tea Latte, a cup of London Fog for windy days like this will be my choice instead. Substitute for familiar drinks such as hot sucule, hot matcha or hot latte #historicallandmarks #localguides #coffeeshop #cafe

HAI TAM HON CAFE

#vietnamtrip Address: 96 MAI ANH TUAN, DONG DA, HANOI Open ; 7:30 - 20:00 Price: 40.000đ - 85.000đ Which restaurant is called Poet Thun - "two souls". Brand new coffee shop (meaning because it's just opened today) located on Mai Anh Tuan street, now around Hoang Cau lake there are so many coffee shops for you to choose but the general feature is that every cafe is so chill chill. Two souls have a large yard, these days Hanoi has been sunny so the yard is more dreamy, sitting here reading books or simply chatting with friends is very enjoyable. The indoor space is a bit modest, not much seating so I still prefer the outdoor space. Hope the shop will be a new peaceful abode for souls seeking peace hie hie The drink menu has quite a variety of choices, catching my eye is the Marukyu Koyamaen matcha shop. My matcha cup uses Wako lun line (expensive red) for 85.000d, personally I mix it at home will add matcha, you can add 15k to add matcha powder if you like to drink it as strong as me

Ô TRỐNG

I didn't think there would be a beautiful cafe like this in the area near my house. It's true that you shouldn't look at the face to get an image, although from the outside, Empty has a modest appearance, but you have to step inside to see a vast world opening up :3 When I heard the name of the shop, I just thought I only went to Ca Hoi Hoang because I love Ca music very much, but at O Trong, I always play Ms. Ly's music =))) I agree that the music Ms. Ly plays at the restaurant is very suitable because of the vintage, chillin' space with sunny windows. , peaceful and gentle space. The shop is quite spacious with three main floors and a few attached mezzanines. I love the space on every floor. The floors are connected by a spiral staircase. The most beautiful is the 3rd floor with open space. In warm, sunny weather, you can freely live virtual lives. As for the space, I would give it a full 10 points. If only I had brought a film camera to take pictures that day, I would have loved it. ☕️ I ordered a hot kumquat honey tea (40k) and it was delicious. The slightly sour taste of kumquats is balanced by the sweetness of honey. Making a cup of hot kumquat tea early in the morning is good for the stomach =))) #historicallandmarks #localguides #coffeeshop #cafe

SÓNG SÁNH

There are so many cafes popping up that I keep getting stuck with posts... I don't know how many days it has been since I left =))))))). Located right on Ngoc Ha street with lots of traffic, there is a strangely quiet and gentle Song Sanh. The restaurant has two floors, the space is not too large but has many seats. The decor is simple and gentle, not too fussy, so it exudes comfort and airiness for the shop. With the main white tone, Song Sanh uses mainly wooden tables and chairs to create a warmer feeling for the space. At Song Sanh, in addition to delicious coffee and a quiet space to study and work, there is also a small exhibition of wall paintings or on the 2nd floor there is a table displaying art books and pictures from fashion. until Hanoi in the early 90s. In addition, Song San also decorated with green trees, creating a cool feeling and creating a highlight for the space. ☕️I ordered a passion fruit juice (40k) and a pineapple juice (40k), the passion fruit cup was ok but the pineapple cup was too sweet, it tastes better when thawed. Iron straws are used here, so that's another big plus #historicallandmarks #localguides #goodfoods #foodphotography #coffeeshop #cafe
