Hotel near Beijing West Railway Station Area,Beijing
The Jingchen Hotel (Beijing West Railway Station) is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Jingchen Hotel (Beijing West Railway Station) is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Beijing. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 1km from Beijing West Railway Station and 38km from Beijing Capital International Airport. Transportation around the city is also convenient, with Liuliqiao East Metro Station within walking distance. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the National Theatre of China, Shuting 24-Hour Study Room and Lianhuachi Park all nearby. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling on business.

"There is one major problem. The room is on the first floor, and outside the window is a courtyard of a residential area. Someone is cooking, and the smell will drift in. Everything else is OK, and the front desk will solve it quickly if there is a need. There is a big mark on the lower part of the curtain near the radiator."

Perfect
AAnonymous UserI booked the place after seeing good reviews from XHS and on this site. We were met with not the lady boss on day of arrival but a grouchy man with curt instructions. And no assistance was given to help us carry our luggage to the 3rd floor. Lucky, it was a single luggage. So both my sis and I were able to do it on our own. The room itself is clean but very basic with no place to hang our clothes though hangars are provided. As we were only staying for one night, it was ok. Towels are provided with shower gel and shampoo. The hotel location is good/central as it is near the Sun Moon Plaza. Did not get to see the drone show as there were thunderstorms that night. We were glad when we met the lady boss the next morning. Very warm and friendly personality. She also helped us with arranging our luggage pickup by the service centre. Breakfast was mainly Asian with also bread, porridge and the small dishes cooked on order by the lady boss were tasty. The homemade soya milk was great too. Overall, i think the hotels in Gubei Watertown are overpriced with such basic room amenities. I paid nearly the same rate for a 5star hotel in Beijing with much bigger room with better room facilities/service. Suggest to go for day trip if possible. But if you want to go for overnight stay and climb Simatai the next day, suggest to stay inside the scenic area so you pay half the price and enjoy flexibility to move within the scenic area anytime.

AAnonymous UserStayed for 2 nights in Oct 2024, planned for 1 night to visit around the town itself and another night for the Simatai Great Wall. 1. Location - Inn is located within Gubei Watertown and it is necessary to go through the watertown to visit the Simatai Great Wall. By booking an accommodation within the town gives you discounted entrance price into the town and since we planned to visit the great wall and explore the town itself we have decided to stay for 2 nights (also partly the cost and time to travel there from Beijing). Inn is located near the main square where some performances are held and near a shuttle service stop (free shuttle services within town if you’re staying in an accommodation within town. Overall a good location within town. 2. Room - Booked a family room for 4 (2 single beds in each level). Room is mostly made of wood hence its not really a modern feel and its not really sound-proof which the staff has notified in advance. Room is spacious and bathroom is big. Stairs that goes up to the 2nd level is stable but can be a little steep for seniors. Overall the room is decent. It comes with tomatoes, peanuts and tea as welcome gift. 3. Luggage - There’s a luggage service whereby you can arrange for your luggage to be transported to your hotel from entrance, and from hotel back to entrance. This is definitely needed as the ground in the watertown is not a smooth surface and can be hard to carry your luggages around. 4. Services & breakfast - Staff’s services is really good and efficient! Breakfast is simple but has good variety. There’s the buffet portion which consists of small dishes for porridge, bread, bun, drinks etc. And there’s an alacarte portion where you need to order in advance the night before such as bacon, egg, sausages, noodles etc. i think its a good initiative to avoid wastage. Overall a very good stay and would recommend if you are visiting Gubei Watertown and would like to stay in a more traditional feel.

BbobociciThis is our second stay at Duan's Courtyard, and I heard they changed the name. The room decor is still the same as before, and it's very well-maintained. Even after so many years, the facilities still feel new. The front desk staff and restaurant service were both very nice. We stayed in the Family A room, which was clean and tidy. The location is also very convenient, being the closest to the Great Wall. Plus, as soon as you step outside, you can see lots of cute little cats, which is delightful.

GGuest UserThe room is nice, a little compact, but it can accommodate four adults and one child. The service staff is very good and helpful in making arrangements. The water town is worth visiting, but the food is a little salty. Overall, it feels good and I will come again.

GGuest UserDon't let the modest exterior of the courtyard fool you; it delivered a string of delightful surprises. Upon entering, we were immediately struck by its ancient charm. During check-in, the owner's thoughtful warmth and hospitality truly impressed us. At mealtimes, we were delighted by their excellent recommendations. The tidy rooms, delicious wontons and dumplings, and the owner's genuine hospitality made us feel completely at home. Whether it was for meal recommendations or advice on exploring the local area, the owner was undeniably the most helpful local. This guesthouse truly goes above and beyond, a real gem!

GGuest UserThis is not the first time I have been to Gubei. Last time I came here, I saw this riverside hotel and had a meal here. It was delicious. At that time, I saw that they had a room with a balcony facing the river, so I thought about finding an opportunity to stay there. I used to stay in boutique hotels. This time I booked this room as I wished. It really met my expectations. It was very good. Facing the river, I drank tea leisurely in the afternoon. The next morning, I opened the window and felt like a morning in the south of the Yangtze River. There were mountains, water, trees, and geese and ducks playing in the water leisurely outside the window. The location of the hotel is the center of Gubei. It is very convenient to go anywhere. It is also close to the shuttle bus. There is a snack street outside the door, and Sun Moon Island is across the bridge. The breakfast of the inn is also delicious, and lunch and dinner are also recommended. It is really good.

GGuest UserGood base for climbing the Simatai Great Wall - easy walk over to the trailhead in the morning. Also smack in the middle of the attractions, with short walks to the fountain show, drone show, and a boat ride pier. The place is themed as a traditional style guesthouse, and so the decor and layout may seem a little dated and rustic - but that might be part of the charm depending on how you look at it. They have their own in-house coffeehouse and restaurant, but there are also a lot of other food options around the vicinity depending on how far you're willing to walk. It's a little far from the town entrance, but the free luggage forwarding service will take your luggage straight to the premises for you. That said, because the rooms are spread around a fairly large compound, you may still need to carry your luggage a short walk - possibly including a bit of stairs - between the reception area and your room. We also got a discount ticket for hot springs - a facility of which is also nearby.

GGuest UserGreat location. Clean big rooms with private bathrooms and AC. They have restaurant with a lot of menu options and the food was well portioned (I had to finish my lunch for dinner) and tasty although it take them 1 hour to prepare it. They offer shuttle services in Gubeikou town as well as to and from Jinshanling wall, I went there for the sunrise hike and they picked me up after sunset at 9 pm

DDejizhuoma_weiThe inn in the scenic area, the location is close to the entrance of the scenic area, the first stop of the shuttle bus is there, and it is very convenient to leave the scenic area. The surrounding area of the inn is very quiet, the environment is very good, there are very few people going on Tuesday and Wednesday, the entrance of the inn, the quiet road, are very suitable for taking pictures, one step at a time, the interior of the inn is also clean and tidy, the service attitude is very

GGuest UserAn Excellent Hub for Business Travel and In-Depth Beijing Exploration! Choosing the Milean Hotel for my business trip turned out to be an excellent decision, largely thanks to its strategic location which offered immense convenience and was a pleasant surprise. Situated in Sidaokou, the vibrant core of Zhongguancun, it's an absolute godsend for those of us who regularly interact with internet giants. Its proximity to client headquarters dramatically reduced commute times and costs, making business meetings exceptionally easy and efficient. What's more, the transportation network here is incredibly comprehensive and simply perfect. Whether you're heading to Beijing North Station for high-speed rail or connecting at the Xizhimen transportation hub, both are just a short ride away, ensuring seamless transitions for your onward journey. For tourists keen on exploring the city, it also serves as an ideal base, offering easy access to Haidian District's many tech parks and prestigious universities. After a busy day, the hotel's comfortable and quiet ambiance provided the perfect retreat. The professionalism and friendliness of the front desk staff also added a significant touch of warmth to my stay. It perfectly marries the efficiency required for business with the convenience sought by travelers. I highly recommend it to all business travelers and tourists looking to explore Beijing efficiently. This truly was an outstanding value-for-money stay!
