Tenerife - Love at First Sight!!!!
Where can you swim in the ocean, sunbathe, and stroll around in shorts and a t-shirt in January? On the Canary Islands! We chose the island of Tenerife, specifically its southern part! We stayed at the wonderful Gara Suites hotel, which has a perfect location and delicious breakfasts!
Tenerife doesn't have winter; it's the island of eternal spring! Everything is in bloom, the ocean is refreshing, but everyone swims and sunbathes!!!
The island is home to one of the world's best water parks, Siam Park, where you can spend the entire day. It's a place that both adults and children will love!
The main symbol of the island is Mount Teide, a volcano that keeps the clouds away and divides the island into the rainy north and the warm, sunny south.
If you want to warm up in Europe during winter, head to Tenerife. It's warm, sunny, fun, and deliciously Spanish!

Outstanding Service and Stay
Our experience was excellent from check-in to check-out; all the staff were incredibly helpful and polite. The two ladies at reception were lovely, as was the gentleman who escorted us to our villa. We stayed in a two-bedroom villa suitable for three people, and the decor was excellent with extremely comfortable rooms. The outdoor space was ideal, featuring two sun loungers, and a third was promptly provided upon our request. Breakfast was exceptional with an abundance of choices, and Aura was especially delightful and helpful. Highly recommend and plan to return with my husband later this year.

Highly Recommendable Stay in Private Villa
We stayed in one of the three-bedroom villas with a private pool. The villas are excellent, featuring a bathroom for each room and modern furniture. Every room includes 90cm twin beds placed side by side. There’s a stunning view of the golf course and bay, along with a lovely breakfast buffet. Housekeeping was spotless, and the value for money is outstanding. The area is very peaceful. We didn’t try the restaurant, but I strongly recommend this hotel.

Feels Like Family in a Big Hotel
I recommend this hotel; it's large but has a welcoming, family-like atmosphere. The food is excellent, and the bar and restaurant are charming. The staff are kind, helpful, and accommodating. There's a shuttle bus to the beach every day. Rooms are meticulously cleaned daily, and both the pool and restrooms are maintained to a high standard.

Fantastic Stay with Wonderful Touches
Just returned from another brilliant stay, our third visit, and we’ll definitely book again for next year. They’ve made some great updates like the Mokka bar/lounge, a delightful spot for coffee, cake, or ice cream. It even had football on the big screen, which our teenage son loved. The upgraded Blue Oasis had just opened before we left, and we enjoyed a couple of lovely dinners there.
The staff, as always, are outstanding and a real credit to the hotel. Everyone is so warm and friendly, but special kudos to Antonia at breakfast—her freshly made omelettes will be missed by my daughter—and Alice at the veranda bar, who served us with a friendly smile. Alice even remembered us from last year and treated our daughter to a birthday cocktail. The hotel also surprised us with a welcome bottle of fizz and a cake in our villa for our daughter’s birthday—these thoughtful gestures make this hotel truly special.
While it’s hard to imagine it getting any better, perhaps something for teenagers like a pool table, darts board, or games room could be a great addition. We’re already excitedly planning our return for next year!

Amazing Stay with Welcoming Atmosphere
We were truly impressed by this hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and at ease. Although there was ongoing work at the snack bar, it didn't disrupt our experience. The staff were all incredibly friendly, cheerful, and accommodating. The accommodations were luxurious, featuring breathtaking views and a fresh, clean ambiance. Despite the hotel being slightly farther out, taxis were prompt and easy to access. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and the food was absolutely delicious. The entire atmosphere was calm, creating a relaxed holiday vibe. The pool area was spotless, with plenty of available sunbeds. Entertainment for kids was engaging and interactive. Fantastic value for money—without a doubt, we plan to return!

Wonderful Experience with Exceptional Amenities
Had an excellent stay; the staff were all friendly and very welcoming. The villa was outstanding, fully equipped, and impeccably clean. Breakfast offered a fantastic variety, including cereals, fresh pastries, cooked items, fruit, and more. The location was stunning—slightly remote but with a bus stop nearby and an excellent taxi service. The swimming pools were fantastic with a pleasant temperature.

Wonderful Stay at Sol Arona
Just back from a fantastic holiday at Sol Arona. The hotel has undergone recent renovations and feels stylish and spotless throughout. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, from reception and cleaners to restaurant teams and kids entertainers—they were brilliant. The food worked well for us; breakfasts were great, and dinners offered a good variety like meats, fish, vegetables, rice, and salads, so we enjoyed every meal. However, picky eaters might find it challenging since the beige options like plain pasta, pizza, or chips were unchanged every night.
The pool was warm and lovely, though my only gripe is that the surrounding floor needs attention—there were holes and some uneven concrete areas not marked, and I saw many guests trip on them. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the seafront with great bars and restaurants. We usually prefer Adeje as a resort, but Los Cristianos offered fun new experiences, and it’s close by—only about an 8-euro taxi ride from the hotel. There’s a Hyperdino supermarket two minutes away for essentials, and walking a bit further reveals more shops.
We opted for a sea-view room on the 10th floor, and the view overlooking the sea and pool was fantastic. Without a doubt, we’d stay here again if visiting Los Cristianos in the future.

Lovely Second Stay with Friendly Service
This was our second visit to this hotel, and it remains a favorite! From the moment you arrive, the friendly greeting sets the tone. Check-in is quick and simple, especially if you use the Riu app. A special request we made through the app was successfully fulfilled. The room was clean and comfortable, though we wish there was a socket near the bedroom mirror. The towels definitely need upgrading as they’re small and seem quite worn, but it’s not a major issue.
The staff are excellent—really friendly, incredibly hardworking, and always willing to help. We enjoyed the food, and the drinks are great; they’re branded and offer excellent value. The entertainment was okay, though the acts weren’t as good as those from last year.
As for the location, it’s at the far end of Adeje. It takes about 20-30 minutes to walk to Fanabe and another 10 minutes to Porto Colon. Taxis cost around €8. There’s a supermarket a short uphill walk of five minutes away. Finally, the Riu party held every Friday is a fantastic night out! It’s great that transport and drinks are free.

Great Stay with Wonderful Staff and Chill Vibes
Visited in June 2026 after switching plans from a Cyprus trip due to uncertainty. Having stayed at MYND Yazia before, we chose this hotel instead. We arrived on my birthday, and while the hotel didn’t acknowledge it, all was fair. Our room overlooked the car park, but we didn’t mind since we didn’t spend much time on the balcony—pay extra for the pool view if that's important to you.
The hotel features a beautiful refurbishment, with pleasant bars and an excellent half-board option that often provides better value than a bed-and-breakfast. Food and cocktails were fantastic, although there isn’t much in the vicinity, contributing to a relaxing ambiance. We frequently took the bus to Adeje for just €4.40 for the two of us to enjoy dinner out.
Special shoutouts go to Fernando for incredible cocktails, Olga for being a lovely and attentive room cleaner, and a very helpful receptionist we referred to as “Alice” (blonde, glasses, about 22), who went above and beyond to retrieve my husband’s phone from the bus depot. Long story short: the phone was left on the bus while handling our baby’s pram—my husband’s first time ever losing a phone despite extensive travels!
We did face one incident where noise disrupted us at 4 a.m., nearly waking the baby. Security addressed it promptly, and while this can happen at any hotel, it was handled well.
Would we return? Maybe—we might reconsider MYND Yazia for its closer proximity to town. Regardless, thanks to MYND for the wonderful experience and memories!

Hotel Suite Villa María: Perfect Balance of Family Comfort and Adult Relaxation
This was our third stay at Hotel Suite Villa María, and with every visit, we love it even more – especially given that, pre-kids, we never stayed at the same place twice! What sets this hotel apart is its perfect balance of catering to families and adults alike. There are ample activities and entertainment for children, yet it never feels like a "children's resort." The peaceful, luxurious, and relaxing atmosphere for adults remains intact – an impressive balance that Suite Villa María handles brilliantly.
The villas are a significant reason we keep returning. Having private space and privacy is a major advantage, particularly when traveling with young children. Our evenings were more relaxed, and the kids adored having their own petite villa pool. At the same time, guests still enjoy all the amenities and conveniences of a hotel. The villa kitchen also proved incredibly useful for traveling with children.
The cleanliness across the resort is impeccable, and every staff member we met was friendly, welcoming, and truly helpful. We want to give a special shout-out to Antonia at breakfast, who made the start of each day extra special with her fantastic service. The breakfast itself is exceptional – providing a wide variety of high-quality options every morning.
We were especially grateful to the reception team for their efforts when we unexpectedly ran out of some medication during our stay. Their quick and caring assistance turned a potentially stressful situation into an easy one to manage.
Though there was some renovation happening to the playground and poolside restaurant during our visit, we’re excited to experience these updates next time! Suite Villa María keeps delivering an outstanding holiday experience, and it has grown to hold a special place in our family's hearts. We're already looking forward to our next trip.

Perfect Stay at Royal Garden Villas
Our stay at Royal Garden Villas was absolutely perfect. It was our first time here, and we chose it to celebrate our 60th birthdays. When we arrived at our villa (Bora Bora), we found balloons and cake waiting for us, which was a delightful surprise. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and Juan Carlos at breakfast was particularly brilliant. The hotel uses WhatsApp to stay in touch with guests, which works seamlessly, along with an app for menus, room service, and more.
While the venue is a bit distant from the sea and La Caleta, we found the walk pleasant and did it several times. Taxis were affordable and readily available, taking only 4-5 minutes to travel to and from the seafront. For those planning to walk, I recommend using the road behind the hotel by the golf driving range, accessible via the parking garage on foot, as it's slightly faster and more enjoyable. We are already looking forward to returning in the future!

Unforgettable Wedding Anniversary with Boom Trikes
This was our second time booking Boom Trikes while on holiday in Tenerife. For our wedding anniversary, we chose the afternoon tea tour for a special experience. Marco picked us up from our hotel on a stunning green trike. He first took us to a viewpoint above Adeje for some photos and then down to Los Cristianos, where we visited a charming tea room. We had a reserved table waiting and were served a glass of cava with a strawberry. They then asked for our sandwich preferences, and shortly after, brought out a delightful spread of sandwiches, cakes, crisps, and scones with clotted cream and jam.
After enjoying the tea, Marco took us to Los Gigantes via an exhilarating ride on the motorway, where we got to feel the true power of the trike. Following a quick stop for photos, he returned us to our hotel in Adeje, taking the scenic coastal road with breathtaking views. Marco was exceptional, making us feel safe even at 70mph on the motorway. The trike was incredibly comfortable. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Boom Trikes again and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone visiting Tenerife. If you’re booking a trip, choose Boom Trikes!

Great Stay with Spacious Rooms and Excellent Location
Stayed for a week in May as two couples in our 40s. We were warmly greeted at reception and assigned rooms 2004 and 2005. The rooms were very spacious, featuring huge double beds! While the balcony view wasn’t ideal as it faced the side of the building, the rooms were quiet, and we didn’t spend much time in them anyway. The housekeeping was excellent, with our rooms cleaned to a high standard, and the maids were friendly.
The pool was lovely, and the system of booking sunbeds the day before was fantastic, allowing for a relaxing morning. Breakfast was served until 11, offering plenty of choices. The all-inclusive meals were diverse, and the dining room was efficiently managed by the lovely staff. The drinks were all branded, with a good selection, and the AI beer was San Miguel.
However, we found the evening entertainment very poor—bad enough that we ended up heading across the road to the Luuma Bar most nights. The atmosphere there was fantastic, especially the reggae musician who performed with great energy.
The hotel’s location is excellent, close to all amenities and directly opposite the beach. Just a short walk from the gate, you can enjoy beautiful views of Adeje. Overall, we had a great holiday and would consider returning—just improve the evening entertainment, please! ☺️

Top-Notch Location, Service, and Experience
The location, service, and overall experience were excellent. From beginning to end, the staff catered to our every need. I can't recommend it highly enough. Early June was a fantastic time to visit, with only 40% occupancy. The golfers in our group enjoyed playing in truly outstanding surroundings.

Good Stay with Room Location Issues
The hotel itself was clean. My only complaint would be the room we were assigned. It was located in a corridor near the building's entrance, so we could hear everything at all hours. On some mornings, the cleaners gathered outside the room around 7 AM, making it impossible to sleep in. We would stay again, but we’d request a different room next time. Other than that, it’s a fantastic location. We usually stay in Las Americas but prefer heading to Adeje with the kids at night since it’s more family-friendly and avoids too much worry about taxis. It’s about a 30/40-minute walk to Las Americas, but there are plenty of places to stop for drinks along the way. The large pool area was a big hit with my daughter.

Luxury Escape at Royal Garden Villas
We absolutely loved our stay at Royal Garden Villas! We stayed in a Royal Suite, which was an amazing six-bedroom villa complete with two private balconies, a private pool, three bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, tumble dryer, and a fully stocked minibar. The villa is stunningly designed and decorated, with meticulous attention to detail creating a luxurious and serene ambiance throughout.
We booked on a bed-and-breakfast basis and were highly impressed by both the quality of the food and the warm, attentive service. The staff were outstanding—nothing was ever too much trouble for them. The room service and evening turndown service added an extra touch of opulence to the whole experience.
A standout feature we particularly appreciated was the checkout-day service. The team collected our luggage and we were still able to enjoy the facilities, including the pool and VIP suite, where we could shower and freshen up before heading home.
The location is ideal: tranquil and secluded, yet conveniently close to enjoy everything Tenerife has to offer. The main beaches are roughly €12 by taxi, and there’s a large supermarket a 20-minute walk away.
This proved to be a perfect couples' getaway—calm, quiet, and entirely stress-free, with no competition for sunbeds, while still being accessible for those wishing to explore Tenerife’s nightlife. We are already excited to return next year!

Best Hotel Experience in the Canaries!
WOW! I've stayed in many hotels in the Canaries, and this one is the best so far! The lobby is impressive, and we were greeted by friendly reception staff with a quick, easy check-in process. Though the hotel is massive, our room was easy to locate. It was spotless, spacious, had comfy beds, and a great shower room with a magnifying makeup mirror. An extra plug near the large mirror and more drawers would be nice, but it wasn't a big issue.
Now I see why it's called Buenavista—the views are absolutely WOW 👌. Everything is so well-maintained and thoroughly cleaned, from the pool toilets to the flowerbeds. The staff work incredibly hard and still greet you with a smile.
The Entertainment Staff are on another level; they never stop! We stayed in every night to watch their shows—Michael Jackson was brilliant, and Neon Night was AMAZING, one of the best nights ever.
The food was lovely; no complaints, we enjoyed everything 🙌. Some people complain about the snack bar, but it's exactly what it advertises—snacks! You're fed morning, noon, and night!
We took the 471 bus to Adeje (just 4 euros) by the shopping center. Hard Rock’s Sky Lounge is a must-visit for the views—just remember, it’s card-only for drinks.
Thank you for an amazing stay! Can't wait to come back ❤️.

Fantastic Stay at a Beautiful Renovated Hotel
My husband and I just returned from a delightful short break at Sol Arona. Our daughter booked it as a last-minute surprise gift, so we hadn’t researched the hotel much before going, but we were very pleasantly surprised! The hotel’s decor is stunning after a recent renovation. Everything was spotless, and our room was fantastic, featuring a living area and a sea view.
All the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We didn’t bring kids, but there were plenty of families, and the entertainment for children looked excellent. Sun loungers were no problem—on the terrace, there were plenty available! The food was delicious, offering a wide variety at dinner, including a seafood night that was fantastic. We were half-board, so we can’t comment on the drinks in general, but the wine and beer with dinner were enjoyable.
The hotel has a great location for exploring Tenerife, with the beach nearby. We took a lovely walk along the waterfront from Los Cristianos to Adeje, stopping at bars along the way. We couldn’t fault anything about our stay and will definitely return!

Scenic Gorge Hike with Stunning Waterfall
This is a wonderful ravine that’s fairly easy to hike. The trail starts at a lower elevation near Adeje and gradually ascends towards the gorge’s end. The hike takes about 1.5 hours at a steady pace—sunlit for the first hour, then shaded in the last half hour as the valley walls narrow. Midway, you’ll hear flowing water amplified by frogs and other wildlife. At the trail’s end is a breathtaking waterfall, perfect for photos. The path is well-marked and maintained, offering incredible views. Remember to park about 500m away from the Barranco entrance in Adeje and book your tickets in advance.

Wonderful Family Stay with Great Amenities
Just returned from a week here with my partner and our 3 children, and everything was fantastic. Our two-bedroom villa with a jacuzzi was very clean and spacious, perfect for our family. The hotel grounds were beautifully kept, and the pool areas were immaculate as well. The breakfast was possibly the best we've ever had at a hotel, and the portions from the pool bar at lunch were generous enough to share if you’ve had a big breakfast! We stayed on a bed-and-breakfast basis, and there were a few lovely restaurants within a 15–20 minute walk, though you should be ready for the uphill walk on the way back. We rented a car, and the underground parking kept it cool throughout the day. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return if we visit Tenerife again!

Great Stay with Lovely Staff and Convenience Nearby
My partner and I stayed at this hotel last April and loved it so much that we booked again for this April and September. While the rooms are quite dated, they are clean, and for the price, it's worth it! The staff are absolutely lovely, and the pool and bar areas are also well-maintained. Drinks and food at the hotel are very affordable. The man at reception was incredibly helpful, arranging a taxi to the markets and directing us to the nearest pharmacy when we needed it. There's also a fantastic Chinese restaurant right next door. Can't wait to return in April and September! Thank you!

Lovely Apartments with Minor Furniture Updates Needed
The apartments are very nice and quiet, but the furniture could use a little updating. The rooms are clean, as they are cleaned every second day. However, if you get an apartment on the first floor, it feels a bit odd, and the tables can be unsteady—just some small updates would help. We’ve been staying at this hotel every year for about six years now and always look forward to seeing the black cat that visits annually. We’re happy to feed her, but it’s heartbreaking to leave as she gets comfortable in the bed. Every year, I leave this place with tears, hoping to see her again next year.

Comfortable Stay and Friendly Atmosphere
We had a delightful stay here; it's not a 5-star experience, but for the price, it’s very good. The staff are friendly, the rooms are very clean and well-maintained. We’d love to return as we had a wonderful time. The only minor suggestion would be adding a cushion to the chairs in the breakfast room 😉🤩. Thank you for making our holiday enjoyable ❤️. Also, the pizza place next door serves one of the best pizzas we've ever tried, perfect for a cozy night in 😋.

Great Location and Friendly Staff
Excellent location. The staff were friendly, with special praise for the pool bar servers and the lifeguard. The room was basic but clean, worth the price. Housekeeping came by almost daily. Rooms and the pool area could use a bit of renovation. We didn't encounter any cockroaches. The pool bar offers great toasts and affordable drinks.

Overcame Fear with an Amazing Paragliding Experience
This was an amazing experience. Although I’m scared of heights, I wanted to give it a try. I was immediately made to feel comfortable. Both the explanation and the actual paraglide were exceptional. The only letdown was that we didn’t land on the beach.

Exceptional Stay at a 5-Star Hotel with Beautiful Villas
Cannot fault this hotel at all. From check-in to check-out, all staff were very friendly and attentive. Anto, who works in reception and the dining room, was incredibly friendly and had an impressive ability to remember guests each morning. Although part of her role involves promoting themed nights (we were only on bed and breakfast), she quickly picked up that we weren’t interested in dining in the hotel and didn’t pressure us. She also seemed to speak a variety of languages fluently!
The 2-bedroom villa we stayed in featured a whirlpool, terrace, table, chairs, sun beds, and offered stunning views of the golf course and the sea. It was very comfortable, though slightly worn for a 5-star establishment. Breakfast was buffet-style with an egg station and offered the highest quality and variety I’ve ever experienced. There’s also an adult-only dining area, which was wonderfully peaceful. While we didn’t try any food beyond breakfast, the price of €49 per person, excluding drinks, for the BBQ buffet seemed a bit steep.
During my 60th birthday, the hotel pleasantly surprised us with a bottle of cava on ice in our room in the afternoon, which was a lovely touch! The pool areas were spotless and cleaned daily, with ample sun beds featuring thick, comfortable padding.
The location is tranquil, overlooking the golf course, but, as previously mentioned by others, the walk uphill can be a bit challenging. Fortunately, inexpensive taxis are readily available if you prefer not to walk.
Overall, I would highly recommend the hotel and villas!
