#wecreate When you are in Prestwick, Ayshire and you want a bit of shopping then Ayr Central Shopping Center is a good place to buy some clothing and accessories. I personally had a good time at Primark and New look. If you're into window shopping as well then no worries, it has some options for you. Some shops are closed already like debenhams and H&M but it is still a great place for a good shopping. They restaurants and cafes too so if you get hungry then it won't be hard to find one. 📍Dunure Castle,Ayrshire, Sctoland,UK 💴 No need to pay to enter here. I love the Outlander series so I was really keen to visit one of their filming sites and I was ecstatic when I found out that Dunure Castle was one of it and it is pretty near from my in- laws house in Prestwick so hubby and I drove there.. From Glasgow, this place is about a little bit over an hour drive. Definitely worth a visit if you are around the area. What is more great about this place is ,it is located by the coast so it is very refreshing to come here and enjoy half a day or a whole day with your wife or husband and even your entire family. We didn't pay for parking so I guess parking is free (double check though) This is such a very nice place to just have a picnic, chill and feel the breeze of the ocean plus great for photo sessions too. Beautiful views and gorgeous harbour. There are also a few cafes and bars so food can be readily accessed if ever you get hungry. An amazing day out for the full family! A must visit if you're in Ayr. 📍location - Easily accessible via public transport 🐢 A huge range of animals 🐇 Interactive sessions 🍎 Animal feeding available 🛝 several play areas 🎢 rides 🥪 Food 🎁 gift shop & more £ - prices range from around £20 per adult, they do after school deals for £8pp which is to visit from 3pm Honestly, this has to be the best farm we've ever visited! we've returned 3 times now. Located right next door to Craig Tara haven. There's so much to do and see for the full family. I recommend coming early so you can fit everything in! they have a large range of animals, rides, play areas, soft play, and activities. #scotland #thingstodo

My nephew Rocco and I were treated by his aunt Lynn to a tour of the Rangers stadium. Rocco, who’s a huge Rangers fan but had never been to Ibrox, was thrilled, especially since we were visiting from Belfast and staying in Ayr. On the day of the tour, we traveled to Glasgow, and I had the pleasure of taking him. Our guide was an amazing gentleman named Laurence, who truly knew his stuff. As I have walking difficulties and use a stick, Laurence was incredibly helpful, accompanying me in the lifts while taking the rest of the group via stairs. He shared fascinating details about Rangers' history, including the team and the two disasters, which was incredibly insightful. The tour was a fantastic experience for both of us, as we got to see everything up close. To top it off, Rocco was thrilled to visit the store and buy a new Rangers top for his birthday. We absolutely loved it!

As a family we love a good caravan holiday! Here's our little review on Craig Tara haven. This place will make you sad to leave! The things we love the most - ❤️ 🏊🏻The largest waterpark in Scotland! ⛳ Several activities to keep the whole family entertained, including golf, climbing wall, bungee jumping, water sports, dodge ball, arcades and so much more! 💃🏻 Entertainment that will keep the full family off their devices. ⛱️ Private beach! ☀️ Incredible views We travel often up and down the UK and overall Craig Tara is our favourite haven/ caravan park we've visited in the UK so far! Theres so much to do and see, the views are spectacular and we always look forward to our next trip here. The worst part is having to leave! There's also an amazing farm next door which I'll do another post about. Some tips - 🥪 You can order food straight to your caravan from places like Asda - The park also offers food to be delivered from the onsite food vendors. 🚕 If you're travelling as a group, a taxi may actually be cheaper than getting the bus!! a taxi cost us £13 from Ayr train station but the bus was £5pp. 🚶🏻I'd recommend paying the little extra to chose where your caravan is located. We tend to let the park choose for us but during this visit we had a lot of walking to do, we don't mind this but our youngest gets a little exhausted. ⭐ Remember things like toilet roll, washing up liquid and towels. 👙 Remember your swim suits, pool toys and beach towels. #travel #thingstodo #beachlife

If you’re looking for a quieter side of Scotland, put Ayr on your list. This seaside town on the Firth of Clyde has a long sandy beach, Victorian streets and surprisingly a lot of history. Start on High Street, the main shopping street, and walk towards the Town Hall and Loudoun Hall, one of Ayr’s oldest buildings. From there, cross the historic Auld Brig and continue towards the harbour. The best part is the coast: walk along the Esplanade, look out towards the Isle of Arran, and visit Greenan Castle on the beach. If you have more time, head to nearby Alloway, the birthplace of Scottish poet Robert Burns. 🏨 Where to stay? For a stay, I’d recommend Savoy5 — a comfortable base for exploring Ayr on foot and the surrounding Ayrshire coast. Ayr is not the most famous Scottish destination, and that’s exactly why I liked it.

Jim was an outstanding host and guide. He perfectly captured our vision for our time in Scotland—hikes, castles, gardens, literary sites, history, charming accommodations, and great food! He skillfully guided us through "must-see" spots and suggested local adventures that were beyond the reach of online resources or guidebooks. We spent three days with Jim in Ayr and the Borderlands, during which he incorporated our family history sites and connected them with relevant local events. In Ayr, Jim recited entire poems by Robbie Burns with dramatic enthusiasm and flair, adding a unique touch to the experience. He brought the Borders to life, deepening our appreciation for Scotland’s landscape, history, and literary craftsmanship. His dining recommendations were excellent—truly unforgettable. Jim is personable, knowledgeable, an excellent driver, and a pleasure to tour with. By the end of the trip, we all agreed we wanted to return and explore the Royal Mile with him!

A day in Ayr and honestly… it was such a vibe. 🌊 Fresh sea air, long walks along the beach, and that calm feeling you only get by the water. We spent the day wandering, chatting about everything and nothing, and just soaking up the views. The coastline was beautiful and the sound of the waves made everything feel slower and more peaceful. There’s something special about seaside days — salty air, cute little spots to stop at, and the kind of scenery that makes you want to stay out all day. We laughed, took way too many photos, and just enjoyed being there in the moment. Ayr, you were the perfect little coastal escape. ✨

It is a stretch of beach where in you can relax by walking down the beach or by just sitting inside your car looking at the calm sea while munching your favourite snacks. There are also benches along the promenade and there are exercising areas. Beautiful beach in Ayrshire

What an absolutely stunning walk along the Ness Glen. Videos and photos just really don’t do it justice. It is dreamy and enchanting. Looks like fairies actually live there. A true Scottish gem that one should find. It is the natural beauty of this place that will be forever engraved in your memory. Highly recommended! If you are not a hiker and just want to experience the hike then this place is perfect as it is an easy trail. Recommended length of hike: 1 hour to 2 hours , totally depends on your pace.
