The kindness and support of the porters left me astonished, and I'm still puzzled about how the cook managed to whip up such delicious meals—with multiple courses—despite the scarce resources at camp. Knowing that the porters are treated fairly was always crucial to us, and once we got to know them, we were really pleased to have chosen KE, who partners with KPAP. Following the trek was difficult, especially with just a single day safari, but our visit to Tarangire was utterly delightful. Once again, our guide was knowledgeable and passionate about his expertise. We quickly spotted four out of the Big Five and countless other species, observing their fascinating behavior. Finally, kudos to Henry, who was always prompt in responding to our inquiries leading up to the trip (and even during). His excellent book was a treasured companion for many weeks before, during, and even now sometimes, as I reflect on this amazing adventure.
