Bentong travel guide and discussion

Planning a Genting Highlands trip? Don’t make the mistake of thinking Genting is only about casinos and theme parks! ⛰️☁️ This mountain destination has much more to offer — from ancient rainforest and spectacular temples to flower gardens, shopping, family attractions and hidden cultural gems. 🌿🏮✨ Here’s my suggested 4D3N itinerary to experience the best of Genting and the surrounding areas. 🇲🇾❤️ 🎢 DAY 1 — ENTERTAINMENT ABOVE THE CLOUDS Start your journey with Awana SkyWay 🚠☁️. The cable car ride takes you above the lush mountain forest and offers beautiful views along the way. 🌳⛰️ After arriving at the top, explore SkyAvenue 🛍️🍜, where you can enjoy shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Then head to Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park 🎡🎠 for some fun, especially if the weather turns cloudy or rainy. In the evening, experience the lively atmosphere of Resorts World Genting Casino 🎰✨ and enjoy the spectacular mountain resort lights after dark. 🌃 🎢 DAY 2 — THRILLS, NATURE & CULTURE Spend the morning at Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park 🎢🎠. With themed attractions, exciting rides and plenty of entertainment, it’s a great choice for families, couples and thrill-seekers. After the excitement, slow down at Chin Swee Caves Temple (清水岩庙) 🏯🙏🏻. Surrounded by mountains and clouds, this is one of Genting’s most impressive cultural attractions. Don’t miss the giant Buddha statue and Nine-Storey Pagoda! ☁️⛰️📸 🌳 Take some time to appreciate the Awana Rainforest too. The rainforest landscape around Genting is often described as having an ancient history of around 130 million years. 🌿✨ 🛍️ On your way down, stop at Genting Highlands Premium Outlets for some shopping and a meal. 👟👜🍽️ 🌸 DAY 3 — FLOWERS, FARMS & HIDDEN GEMS Head towards Gohtong Jaya and explore Eufloria 🌸🌿, a beautiful nature-focused attraction filled with flowers, greenery and creative displays. Continue to Genting Strawberry Leisure Farm 🍓🌱, where you can discover local agriculture and enjoy a relaxing farm experience. Flower lovers shouldn’t miss World of Phalaenopsis 🌺✨, known for its beautiful orchids and colourful tropical plants. For another nature experience, visit Butterfly Wonderland 🦋🌿 and enjoy seeing beautiful butterflies in a green environment. 🙏🏻 You can also discover Arulmigu Shree Maha Kaliamman Temple, adding a touch of cultural diversity to your journey. 🛕✨ 🏮 DAY 4 — DISCOVER THE LESSER-KNOWN SIDE Before ending your trip, explore some of the lesser-known temples around Genting. Visit Yu Feng Sun Ling Gong (玉封孫靈宮) 🏯🙏🏻, a quieter Chinese temple associated with Sun Wukong. It’s a fascinating stop for travellers interested in Chinese culture, traditional beliefs and mythology. 🐒✨ Then continue towards Bentong to visit the Bentong God of Wealth Temple (旧玻璃口财神庙) 💰🏮. Dedicated to the God of Wealth, it offers another interesting glimpse into local Chinese religious traditions. ❤️ After four days, you’ll realise Genting Highlands is much more than a mountain resort. It’s a destination where ancient rainforest 🌳, misty mountains ☁️, temples 🏯, flowers 🌸, farms 🍓, theme parks 🎢, shopping 🛍️ and entertainment 🎰 all come together. 📌 Save this 4D3N itinerary and discover the many different sides of the City Above the Clouds! ☁️⛰️🇲🇾 #gentinghighlands #gentingtravel #malaysiatravel #pahangtravel #gentingitinerary #cityabovetheclouds #chinsweecavestemple #awanaskyway #gentingskyworlds #templehopping #ancientrainforest #tripmoments

Can you experience the best of Kuala Lumpur in just 24 hours? I say YES! 🙌🏻 Starting from Bentong, I took a bus into KL and spent the next 24 hours eating delicious food, shopping around Bukit Bintang, discovering a coffee spot, enjoying Chinese fine dining and ending the night with karaoke. 🎤 Here’s my save-worthy 24-hour KL itinerary if you’re planning a quick getaway! 📌 🚌 8:00 AM — Bentong → KL Took a bus from Bentong to Kuala Lumpur. ⏰ Around 1 hr 15 mins Arrived at Titiwangsa Bus Station, then walked about 3 minutes to the LRT. 🚇 Titiwangsa → Hang Tuah Easy, affordable and no need to worry about parking! 🥢 10:00 AM — DIM SUM BRUNCH 📍 Ting Shan Just a short 3–5 minute walk from Hang Tuah LRT. This place has a slightly more hotel-style dim sum restaurant vibe, and I came here mainly because I had one dish on my mind… 🔥 红米脆皮肠粉 THIS IS A MUST ORDER! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The crispy texture was SO addictive that I ended up ordering TWO plates. 😂 Also don’t miss: 🍠 Crispy Fried Yam Perfect start to the day — carbs first, sightseeing later. 🤭 🛍️ 12:00 PM — BUKIT BINTANG SHOPPING After brunch, walked back to Hang Tuah LRT and took the Monorail → Bukit Bintang. Cross the pedestrian bridge and you’ll reach Lot 10. Time to SHOP! 🛍️✨ 🇯🇵 DON DON DONKI @ LOT 10 If you love Japanese snacks, instant food, beauty products and all those “I don’t need this but I’m buying it anyway” things… 😂 You’ll love it here. Then walk over to: 👕 UNIQLO @ FAHRENHEIT88 One of the biggest Uniqlo stores around this area, so definitely worth a look. ☕ 3:00 PM — COFFEE BREAK 📍 ZUS Signature @ Fahrenheit88 After walking + shopping + carrying shopping bags… COFFEE TIME. ☕️ One thing I really liked about ZUS Signature is that the coffee beans are different from the regular ZUS Coffee outlets. And yes… The coffee tastes SO GOOD. 🤎 Pair it with a dessert and take a little break before the next adventure. 🍽️ 6:30 PM — DINNER WITH A TWIST 📍 Gongsi Took a Grab from Bukit Bintang to Gongsi for a special Chinese fine-dining experience. And if you ask me what you absolutely should order… 🥩 Sous Vide Pork with Ginger Sauce ❤️ MY FAVOURITE DISH OF THE TRIP. The pork was so tender and the ginger sauce was packed with flavour. If I went back, this is one dish I’d order again without hesitation. 🎤 9:00 PM — THE NIGHT IS STILL YOUNG! You thought the itinerary was over? NOPE. 😂 🎶 Karaoke at Loud Speaker Booked a private karaoke room and ended the night singing with friends. Food ✅

📍 Japanese Village, Berjaya Hills, Bentong, Pahang, Malaysia I never expected to find such a charming Japanese-inspired escape in the heart of Malaysia! 🌿✨ Located about 3,500 feet above sea level, Berjaya Hills offers a refreshing change from the usual tropical heat — the cool, crisp mountain weather makes the visit especially enjoyable. The Japanese Village is beautifully surrounded by lush greenery, with traditional Japanese-inspired architecture, a serene garden setting and plenty of picturesque spots for photos. Walking around the village feels almost like stepping into a quiet corner of Japan, while still being surrounded by the tropical rainforest of Malaysia. 🌸🏯 What I enjoyed most was simply slowing down and taking in the cool mountain breeze and peaceful surroundings. It is a wonderful contrast to the warm, humid weather experienced in most parts of Malaysia. 🌿 Perfect for: nature lovers, photography enthusiasts, couples, families and anyone looking for a relaxing highland escape without travelling overseas. If you’re looking for a refreshing weekend getaway from the city, Berjaya Hills is definitely worth adding to your Malaysia travel list! ❤️ #BerjayaHills #JapaneseVillage #Bentong #Pahang #MalaysiaTravel #VisitMalaysia #MalaysiaTrip #HighlandEscape #JapanInMalaysia #MalaysiaNature #TravelMalaysia #HiddenGemMalaysia #WeekendGetaway #TravelPhotography

📍 Colmar Tropicale, Berjaya Hills, Bentong, Pahang, Malaysia Who says you need to fly to France to experience a charming French village? 🇫🇷❤️ My visit to Colmar Tropicale at Berjaya Hills in Bentong felt like stepping into a little European fairytale tucked away in the cool, lush Malaysian highlands. Surrounded by greenery and mountain scenery, the resort’s colourful French-inspired architecture immediately catches your eye — pastel-coloured facades, timbered details, turrets, balconies and quaint village-style buildings that create a distinctly Alsatian atmosphere. What I enjoyed most was simply wandering around and taking in the architecture. The cobblestone-style walkways, colourful buildings and picturesque corners make it an especially photogenic spot. 📸🌿 The highland setting also gives the place a refreshing contrast to the tropical landscape that Malaysia is known for. The resort is inspired by Colmar, a beautiful town in Alsace, France, and the resemblance is particularly charming when viewed from the higher vantage points around the resort. Add the cooler mountain air and surrounding forest, and you get a surprisingly different side of Malaysia. 🇲🇾➡️🇫🇷 My verdict: If you’re looking for a unique weekend escape from Kuala Lumpur, a romantic getaway, or simply somewhere different for your next photo adventure, Colmar Tropicale is definitely worth experiencing. Sometimes, the most unexpected travel experiences are found much closer to home. ❤️ 📍 Colmar Tropicale, Berjaya Hills, Bentong, Pahang, Malaysia #ColmarTropicale #BerjayaHills #Bentong #Pahang #MalaysiaTravel #MalaysiaVacation #VisitMalaysia #FrenchVillage #FrenchArchitecture #MalaysiaHighlands #WeekendGetaway #TravelMalaysia #HiddenGemMalaysia

One of my favorite travel discoveries in Bukit Tinggi, Bentong was an unexpected stop at the Rabbit Farm while exploring Berjaya Hills. It was the kind of easy, low-effort experience I love adding to a trip—especially when it comes with no extra admission cost for Berjaya Hills hotel guests. Walking around the farm, I got to see the rabbits up close and enjoy a slower moment surrounded by greenery. Of course, my camera came out almost immediately—the combination of adorable animals, natural surroundings, and the relaxed atmosphere made this an unexpectedly fun photography stop. What I liked most was that I didn’t need to plan a separate excursion or spend extra money. It was simply something I could enjoy along the way while exploring Berjaya Hills. Would you make a quick stop at a rabbit farm during your Bukit Tinggi trip, especially when entry is included with your hotel stay? 🐰📸🌿 #bentong #pahang #berjayahills #photospot #travelphotography #tripmoments #hotdiscussions #easytravelpost

I wasn’t expecting to find such a peaceful Japanese-inspired escape in Bukit Tinggi, Bentong, but visiting the Japanese Village at Berjaya Hills completely changed the pace of my day. The moment I arrived, the sound of gently flowing brooks and waterfalls made everything feel quieter. Surrounded by lush greenery and carefully manicured Zen-inspired gardens, the atmosphere was perfect for slowing down and simply enjoying the scenery. I wandered around the Japanese Tea House, Ume Tatami Suite, and Tatami Spa, taking photos of the traditional architecture, gardens, and natural surroundings. The whole setting felt especially photogenic, and wearing a kimono while exploring made the experience even more memorable. For travelers looking for something relaxing rather than another crowded attraction, this was an easy addition to a Berjaya Hills trip. You can enjoy the gardens, soak in the scenery, and, if you want to splurge, even treat yourself to a Kyukyoku outdoor massage at the Tatami Spa. Would you visit for the peaceful gardens, dress up in a kimono for photos, or splurge on the spa experience? 🇯🇵🍃📸 #bentong #pahang #berjayahills #photospot #travelphotography #tripmoments #hotdiscussions #easytravelpost

One of the things I enjoy most about traveling is discovering places that don’t require a complicated itinerary. During my time in Bentong, Pahang, I stopped by Kwong Fook Temple, and it turned out to be a peaceful little cultural experience worth slowing down for. The temple’s traditional details, colorful decorations, and quiet surroundings gave me plenty of opportunities to take photos and appreciate the local character of Bentong. I loved looking closely at the architecture, ornaments, and small details that are easy to miss when you’re rushing from one attraction to another. What made this stop special for me was its simplicity. No packed schedule, no need to spend hours here—just a relaxed visit, a camera in hand, and some time to appreciate the cultural atmosphere. Would you add a quiet temple like this to your Bentong itinerary, or would you focus only on the more famous attractions? 🏮👀 #bentong #pahang #photospot #travelphotography #tripmoments #hotdiscussions #easytravelpost

#underratedspots I recently discovered Yu Feng Shun Ling Gong at Genting Sempah, and honestly, this has to be one of my more underrated temple finds around the Genting area. Most visitors head straight to the famous Chin Swee Temple, but this place gave me a completely different experience — quieter, more secluded and surprisingly majestic. ✨ One reason I think it doesn’t get as much attention is its location. The temple was only established around 2020, and reaching it feels like a little adventure itself. The access road is very steep, around a 45-degree descent in places, so I definitely took it slowly and carefully. A confident driver and a suitable vehicle are important because the temple sits deep within the mountainous terrain. 🚗⛰️ But once I arrived, I was genuinely impressed. The temple is grand and beautifully designed, surrounded by the natural mountain landscape. It is dedicated to the Monkey God, with impressive deity statues and detailed religious decorations throughout the complex. 🐒🙏 I spent quite some time walking around, admiring the architecture, statues and intricate details while learning more about the traditional beliefs behind the temple. The combination of Chinese temple culture, mountain scenery and spiritual atmosphere made the visit feel very different from a typical tourist attraction. For me, this is exactly what an underrated travel discovery should feel like — a place that isn’t crowded or overly commercialised, but has plenty of character and cultural value waiting to be explored. If you’re a temple, culture or hidden-gem lover, I’d definitely put Yu Feng Shun Ling Gong on your Genting-area exploration list. 🏯🌿 Sometimes the places that require a little more effort to reach are the ones that leave the biggest impression. ❤️

Who would have thought you could experience a French-style village without leaving Malaysia? Nestled in the cool hills of Bukit Tinggi, Pahang, Colmar Tropicale feels like stepping into a charming European town. With its colorful half-timbered buildings, cobblestone streets, and mountain breeze, it's the perfect escape from the city's heat. The moment I walked through the entrance, it honestly didn't feel like I was still in Malaysia. Every corner looked photo-worthy, and the peaceful atmosphere made me want to slow down and simply enjoy the surroundings. ✨ My Experience I visited on a weekday, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. There were fewer crowds, making it easy to explore at a relaxed pace and take photos without waiting. Walking through the village felt like wandering around a small town in eastern France. The architecture, flower-filled balconies, and little cafés created a cozy atmosphere that was surprisingly authentic. One of my favorite moments was sitting at an outdoor café with a cup of coffee, enjoying the cool mountain air while listening to live music in the square. It wasn't a busy itinerary—it was simply a relaxing afternoon that felt completely different from everyday life. If you're looking for somewhere to unwind, Bukit Tinggi is a wonderful place to spend a day. 📍 Must-Visit Attractions 🇫🇷 Colmar Tropicale French Village 🌸 Japanese Village 🍵 Japanese Tea House 🌳 Botanical Garden 🐇 Rabbit Park 🌄 Scenic viewpoints around Bukit Tinggi 📸 Best Photo Spots ✨ The colorful French-style buildings ✨ The central fountain and village square ✨ Flower-covered balconies ✨ The iconic entrance arch ✨ The cobblestone streets at golden hour 💡 Travel Tips · Visit early in the morning or late afternoon for cooler weather and better lighting. · Weekdays are much quieter than weekends. · Wear comfortable shoes, as you'll be walking on slopes and cobblestone paths. · Bring a light jacket—the temperature is usually cooler than Kuala Lumpur. · If you have extra time, don't miss the nearby Japanese Village, which offers a completely different atmosphere. Bukit Tinggi may not be the real France, but it offers a unique experience that's surprisingly charming. Whether you're visiting for the cool weather, beautiful architecture, or simply a relaxing getaway, it's an easy destination that feels worlds away from the city. Sometimes, you don't need a long-haul flight to experience a little bit of Europe. 🇫🇷❤️ 📌 Save this for your next weekend getaway from Kuala Lumpur! #BukitTinggi #ColmarTropicale #FrenchVillage #Pahang #MalaysiaTravel #VisitMalaysia #WeekendGetaway #HiddenGem #TravelGuide #TripMoments #Tripcom #EuropeInMalaysia #NatureEscape #TravelPhotography #BucketList

Hidden among the lush forests of Bukit Tinggi, Pahang, this unnamed tributary of Sungai Tanglir is one of those places that feels untouched by time. Fed by streams flowing from the surrounding highlands, the water here is remarkably cold, making every dip incredibly refreshing. The waterfall itself stands at around 10 meters high, with a beautiful vertical drop that crashes powerfully onto the rocky riverbed below. Even before reaching it, you can already feel the cool mist in the air, a testament to the strength of the cascading water 💦 Unlike many waterfalls with deep plunge pools, the base of this waterfall is relatively shallow, covered with coarse river stones instead of deep water. While it may not be the ideal spot for cliff jumping, it's the perfect place to sit back, cool your feet, and enjoy the soothing sound of rushing water. This stream is just one of dozens of tributaries feeding the mighty Sungai Tanglir, creating a vast river system that winds through the rainforest. Unfortunately, the river no longer retains the crystal-clear appearance it once had. Ongoing construction activities upstream often cause the water to become muddy, increasing the risk of pollution and affecting its natural beauty. Despite that, the surrounding rainforest and the waterfall itself still offer an unforgettable escape for those who enjoy discovering lesser-known places. 💡 Travel Tips 🏍️ Most hikers choose to walk a long distance to reach the waterfall, but if you have access to a motorcycle, you can reduce the final walk to just 2–3 minutes. ✅ No forestry permit is required, making it an easy destination to visit. 👟 Wear proper footwear with good grip, as the rocky riverbed can be slippery. 🌧️ Visit after light rainfall for a stronger waterfall, but avoid periods of heavy rain for safety. 💚 If you're looking for a refreshing waterfall surrounded by cool mountain air, this hidden tributary of Sungai Tanglir is one of Bukit Tinggi's most underrated natural escapes. #waterfalls #pahang #hiking

#gentingattractions 📍Address: C1, Jalan Tanarimba Pine, Kampung Janda Baik, 28750 Bentong, Pahang, 马来西亚 Tired of the usual city cafés? Escape to Pineyard Café, a cozy cabin surrounded by pine trees just a 30-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur city center. It’s the perfect spot to take a break from the urban crowd. Drive another 40 minutes uphill and you’ll reach Genting Highlands Premium Outlets. Here’s what we ordered this time: 🍝 AGLIO OLIO with Prawns This dish features springy prawns, juicy cherry tomatoes, and yellow pasta lightly tossed in olive oil. The portion is on the smaller side but flavorful. 🍛 Nasi Ayam Percik This traditional Malaysian dish features tender grilled chicken generously coated in a rich, creamy, and slightly spicy coconut-based percik sauce. It’s served with fragrant white rice, fresh cucumber slices, and sometimes a side of sambal or ulam (local herbs). The ayam percik is smoky, flavorful, and perfect if you’re craving a comforting local meal with a kick.
