From 1 December 2025 to 4 January2026, we embarked on a epic journey of a lifetime in 35 days and 10 cities, fulfilling a full loop through Northern and Central Europe to chase winter lights, Christmas markets, and cozy moments on the road. 
This painstakingly planned bucket-list itinerary takes us from Berlin and Copenhagen up through Oslo, Bergen, Tromsø, Rovaniemi and Helsinki, before looping via Tallinn, Prague and Vienna.

The restored facade, bearing the marks of war, strikes a peculiar balance—neither entirely new nor completely old—hinting at the nature of the exhibitions within. 🌿 Depth of the Exhibition Space Created by Stone, Light, and Emptiness Inside, the atmosphere is much calmer and more restrained than expected. Instead of ornate decorations, the stone columns, high ceilings, and structures allowing natural light to seep in draw attention first. Ancient Egyptian artifacts are placed among these elements, making each exhibit stand out more vividly. Hieroglyphs adorn the walls, and as you move between exhibition rooms, the transition of eras and spaces feels seamless. 🌉 Time Stands Still Around the Bust of Nefertiti The most iconic piece of the Egyptian Museum is undoubtedly the Bust of Nefertiti. Placed alone in the center of a dimly lit exhibition room, the bust shines even more brightly in the surrounding silence. The face, viewed through a glass case, is far more realistic and vivid than expected, giving the impression of confronting thousands of years of history face-to-face. Take advantage of the moody clouds for awesome photos—ruins and remnants of the Wall look extra dramatic against the grey sky. 🌫️🌳 Walking along Bernauer Straße, you get close-ups of building facades, clever architecture, and sections of Wall that really drive home the city’s modern/cultural mash-up. [BERLIN’S FORMER PRISON TO MICHELIN KEY HOTEL] 🇩🇪 A peaceful sanctuary in the heart of Berlin — Wilmina is unlike any other stay. Housed in a thoughtfully restored former courthouse and women’s prison, the hotel beautifully blends history with contemporary design. Every corner tells a story, wrapped in calm, minimalistic elegance. We stayed in the Extended Garden Loft which spans 1,152 ft in size featuring 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms and accompanied with a 55inch Smart TV. The loft offered a floor-to-ceiling view of the garden and waking up with nature just felt so invigorating. You’ll find gardens, rooftop terraces, a library lounge, a billiard room, a wellness area with sauna and gym, and even a rooftop pool for summer. Every corner invites you to slow down and just live life more intentionally. One of our favorite parts of the stay was breakfast at lotta.tagesbar — think freshly baked breads (from their own bakery, Wilmina Brot), rich coffee, local produce, and homemade treats, served in the light-filled lounge overlooking the gardens. The perfect, slow way to start the day. And if you’re around in the afternoon, don’t miss their complimentary cakes in the lounge. 🇩🇪 Berlin, Germany ☕️ Zwipf Coffee Berlin, Germany, is home to countless cafes that serve amazing coffee. If you're traveling in Berlin, a cafe tour is a must. This is my 8th trip to Berlin, so I've already visited many of the famous cafes. This time, I decided to explore and stumbled upon a bustling cafe called Zwipf Coffee. While it may not be a well-known spot among tourists, it turned out to be an excellent find. I ordered a cafe latte and a ham and cheese croissant, which cost me 9.70 euros. If you ask for the croissant to be grilled, you can enjoy the warm, gooey cheese that enhances its flavor. The staff were incredibly friendly, making the visit even more pleasant. They even asked if I preferred a flower or a heart for the latte art. I chose a flower, and a beautiful tulip bloomed on my coffee. The ham and cheese croissant was so delicious that I devoured it in just a minute! Zwipf Coffee is especially delightful in autumn. Sitting by the window or on the terrace, you can enjoy the view of golden maple trees. Although it's early October, Berlin's weather feels like early winter, exuding the atmosphere of late autumn. The cafe also offers free Wi-Fi, and sipping a warm, nutty latte while gazing at the autumn leaves outside the window is a truly relaxing experience.
