The best surprises: ▪️ A massive 300-square-meter parking lot 🅿️—a dream for road trippers. ▪️ Rooms so spacious you could dance in them, and bedding so comfortable I wanted to buy the same set. ▪️ Freshly made scones with jam for breakfast—finger-licking good! 🍓 [Must-do tips] 1️⃣ You must take a morning stroll in the courtyard! The rose garden in the mist looks just like a movie scene. 2️⃣ If you are driving, remember to book a room type that includes parking so you do not have to worry about finding a spot. 3️⃣ I recommend bringing a book; it is so cozy to read on the vintage sofa by the floor-to-ceiling window in the afternoon. Unlike the cookie-cutter feel of chain hotels, every detail here exudes the refinement of the English countryside. It is no wonder it consistently ranks at the top of the list. The 1380 stone houses of Arlington Row, with their golden walls and climbing vines, are picture-perfect from every angle. Take the kids to Bibury Trout Farm to buy fish food and feed the rainbow trout. This historic fishery has been open since 1902, and their smoked trout rolls are worth a taste. Bourton-on-the-Water – The Venice of the Cotswolds. The shallow River Windrush flows through the village, crossed by several low stone bridges. Kids love splashing in the water and watching the ducks. There's also a 1:9 scale model village and the Dragonfly Maze, which can keep them entertained for half a day. Upper Slaughter – Certified by National Geographic as one of the most beautiful villages in England. Stepping here feels like entering a medieval fairytale; it's quiet, uncrowded, and incredibly soothing. Castle Combe – Voted one of the world's most beautiful villages for 50 consecutive years.
