## Historical Context
The estate was established in 1890 by the Saha family (later known as the Mohera Zamindars). They were prominent businessmen who built this empire before the Partition of 1947. During the Liberation War of 1971, the palace suffered damage and was later handed over to the police to be used as a training base, which is likely why it remains in such great condition today compared to other ruins in the country.
