Sydney was one of those cities that looked familiar from photos, but felt completely different once I experienced it in person. Between the iconic harbour, beautiful beaches, historic neighbourhoods and relaxed outdoor lifestyle, I quickly understood why Sydney is one of Australia's most memorable cities. My first stop was the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Seeing them together from the waterfront was one of those moments where I actually stopped taking photos for a while and simply enjoyed the view. The harbour was full of ferries and boats, and the whole scene felt surprisingly peaceful despite being in the middle of a major city. One of my favorite experiences was walking around The Rocks afterwards. The old sandstone buildings and narrow streets created a completely different atmosphere from the modern city centre. I enjoyed wandering around without following a strict itinerary, discovering small shops, cafés and little corners with views back towards the harbour. Of course, I couldn't visit Sydney without spending some time at Bondi Beach. The atmosphere there was completely different—surfers in the water, people walking along the coast, and cafés filled with locals and visitors. I walked part of the Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk, and the combination of dramatic cliffs, ocean views and small beaches along the way was one of the highlights of my trip. 📍 My Sydney Travel Tips 🌉 Visit the Opera House & Harbour Bridge around late afternoon and stay until sunset. The changing light makes the harbour look completely different. 🚶 Explore The Rocks on foot. It's especially enjoyable in the morning when the streets are quieter. 🏖️ Spend some time at Bondi Beach, even if you're not planning to swim. 🥾 Try the Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk if you enjoy walking and ocean scenery. Allow several hours if you want to stop for photos and explore along the way. ⛴️ Take a ferry across Sydney Harbour for a different perspective of the Opera House and skyline. 📸 Don't rush your photography stops. Some of my favorite photos came from simply waiting for the right light rather than visiting more places. ❤️ My Experience What I loved most about Sydney was the balance between city life and nature. In one day, I could walk through historic streets, admire world-famous architecture, take a ferry across the harbour and finish the afternoon beside the ocean. It never felt like I had to choose between an urban holiday and a beach getaway. Sydney also has a very relaxed outdoor atmosphere. People seemed to naturally spend time by the water, walking, running, surfing or simply sitting outside with a coffee. That lifestyle was one of the things I enjoyed most during my visit. If it's your first time in Australia, Sydney is a city I'd definitely recommend experiencing slowly. Don't just visit the famous landmarks, but leave some time to walk, take the ferry, explore the neighbourhoods and enjoy the harbour at sunset. 🇦🇺 Sydney, Australia 💙 Totti's Rozelle On August 15, I was traveling in my favorite city, Sydney, Australia, to celebrate my birthday. My friend of 12 years, who lives in Sydney, introduced me to Totti's Rozelle, a highly recommended restaurant. While the downtown Sydney location, Bar Totti's, is very popular, the Rozelle branch is relatively quieter and easier to book. However, when we visited, the place was packed with no empty tables. We ordered wood-fired bread with tomato and ricotta cheese, grilled snapper, crab pasta, white wine, and beer. The total bill came to $143. Totti's is famous for its wood-fired bread, which was so chewy and fluffy that I couldn’t stop eating it even when I was full. Pairing it with tomato and ricotta cheese gave it a taste reminiscent of a famous Italian pizza. The crab pasta had a spicy kick that perfectly suited the Korean palate, and the grilled snapper was so light and flavorful that it made me crave a bowl of white rice to go with it. My friend also prepared a cake and a little surprise event for my birthday, which was incredibly thoughtful. The staff were friendly, making it an ideal spot for a special occasion. The chai latte with the koala drawn on it, Australia's representative animal, and the salmon bagel, which was a great combination of fresh salmon and a rich bagel! Bronte Baths is an ocean pool in Sydney that was built into the cliffside at Bronte Beach in the 1880s. The pool is protected from the ocean, however the ocean waves often crash into the rocks on the edge and so the pool is filled with the salty ocean water. The water can be a little cold if you’re not here during the heat of the summer. The pool is 30 metres in length, so whilst it is smaller than many ocean pools in Sydney there is still plenty space for swimmers to do lengths (lanes are marked out). There is also a shallower part of the pool separated by a wooden ledge that is perfect for families with children and groups of friends relaxing. The ocean pool is perfect for those who are apprehensive to swim in the ocean or those who want to escape the sand. There are several spots here for you to lie your towel down and sunbathe too. Entrance to Sydney’s stunning Bronte Baths is free! [Miss sister is the most beautiful beach in Sydney] In Bondi Beach, Sydney, in addition to sitting on the beach and playing in the sea, the most recommended is Bondi to Coogee Walk!
