A Perfect Adult-Only Retreat at Canyamel Park Hotel
We just returned from a fantastic 4-night stay at the Canyamel Park Hotel, and despite some negative reviews we had read beforehand, the hotel turned out to be an absolute gem! Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the lovely Arantxa, who was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay—a true asset to the hotel!
Our privilege suite was extraordinary, featuring a whirlpool bath on the balcony, a spacious and comfortable bed, robes, slippers, a welcome gift upon arrival, a stunning bathroom, and even a dedicated dressing room. The room was impeccably clean and boasted incredible views of both the mountains and the sea. The cleaning staff ensured the room was spotless every day, and we appreciated the option to indicate when they'd access our room. They were polite and thorough in tidying up daily.
As part of the privilege suite package, we had exclusive access to a serene rooftop pool, which was wonderfully quiet during our visits—we even had it entirely to ourselves for hours at a time! The main pool was equally enjoyable, with plenty of sun loungers and a relaxed atmosphere. Being an adults-only hotel, it was peaceful throughout the premises. The hotel also offers a spa that's free for guests to use—although we didn’t get around to trying it, it looked very inviting.
We opted for the half-board option, which provided a wide variety of delicious choices for both breakfast and dinner. There were plenty of offerings for vegetarians (I’m vegetarian, while my partner is not), including themed nights like a veggie/vegan night, Spanish buffet, and Mexican cuisine. For those who prefer dining out, there are great restaurants nearby. Plus, Canyamel beach, located right next to the hotel, has fantastic bars and cafes with stunning sea views—ideal for a relaxing lunch. The location is perfect, and while it’s quieter compared to other areas of Majorca, we loved the peaceful vibe of Canyamel. With a rental car, we explored the island easily, as well as taking a short 15–20-minute bus ride costing just 3 euros to Cala Ratjada one evening.
Evenings at the bar were another highlight—peaceful, with entertainment every other night that we thoroughly enjoyed. Drinks were reasonably priced, with wine and beer together for around 9 euros, and delightful cocktails available for 8–9 euros each.
Overall, our experience was truly magical, so much so that we’re already planning to return as soon as possible! Huge thanks to everyone at Canyamel Park—you’ve definitely gained a new fan!
