It turned out to be an incredibly convenient choice: the sea was literally a two-minute walk away. Nearby were several fully-equipped beach clubs with loungers, umbrellas, bars, and restaurants. For those who prefer a more low-key vibe, there are also free public beaches. 🛒 Local amenities Supermarkets, a market selling fresh veggies, fruits, and seafood, plus cafes and bakeries were all within walking distance. The city is absolutely perfect for an extended stay: everything you need is right at your fingertips, and there are far fewer tourists compared to the more popular resort towns on the Amalfi Coast. 🚌 A convenient transport hub Transportation ended up being one of Salerno's biggest perks for us. Right near our neighborhood was the bus terminal, which serves as the starting point for the SitaSud buses that run all along the Amalfi Coast.
