The tour guide truly makes a difference, and Brian is absolutely fantastic! My wife was initially very doubtful about the tour but ended up completely won over—thanks to Brian and his incredible sense of humor. We absolutely loved it and would recommend anyone visiting Glasgow to check this place out.

Visited Auchentoshan Distillery with my dad and we both had an amazing time. The tour was fascinating, and Brian, our guide, was excellent—very knowledgeable, approachable, and made the experience enjoyable from beginning to end. The tour offers great value for the cost, and we traveled conveniently by train from Glasgow Queen Street to Kilpatrick, followed by a simple, short walk. The shop was fantastic, featuring a wonderful selection of items, and the bar provided a lovely spot to unwind afterward. Every staff member we encountered was warm and friendly, including the lady in the shop and the gentleman at the front gate. Highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking a memorable whisky experience and a lovely day out.

I recently visited this place with my partner for her birthday celebration. On Sunday, the 28th of June, we took part in the 1823 Experience. We arrived 30 minutes early, and the staff greeted us warmly. To our delight, the tour turned out to be private, just the two of us. We explored the whiskey-making and storage areas, sampling two whiskeys during the tour. Learning about the history and triple distillation process was truly fascinating, as it resulted in incredibly smooth whiskey. Following the tour, our guide, Nial, led us to a bar for a tasting session featuring four different drams. My favorite ended up being the Three Wood, which was a pleasant surprise since I usually prefer sherry cask whiskeys. After sharing this preference with Nial, he kindly offered us another sample and even let us try a whiskey cocktail. From beginning to end, the tour was simply amazing. The experience cost £60 per person, or £120 in total, and was absolutely worth it. We've visited several distilleries before, but Auchentoshan had the most reasonably priced gift shop, with bottles starting at just £26. I purchased the Three Wood and my partner chose the American Oak. We also picked up mugs, a fridge magnet, pin badges, and two small glasses included with our tour. Overall, I highly recommend this experience to anyone who loves whiskey!

It was an easy train and bus ride followed by a short walk to Auchentoshan. We booked a 1.5-hour tour with Gerry, who turned out to be an incredibly knowledgeable, charming, and gracious host. A wonderful touch was how he remembered our names and professions, often tying the tour information back to our interests. As a woman on a distillery tour, I truly appreciated that he gave me just as much attention as my husband—it meant a lot to me. The rest of the staff were equally lovely and welcoming. The distillery's history was captivating, and the whisky was complex, delicious, and precisely the less peaty profile I prefer. It was truly a treat, with generous offerings, so make sure to have a full stomach before your visit.

We had a fantastic visit. The tour is definitely worth doing. Our guide provided thorough insights into how Auchentoshan whisky is crafted. The tasting directly from the cask was a unique highlight. Marge’s passion for the culture and craft of whisky-making, along with her deep knowledge of the scientific aspects, was absolutely contagious. Our experience with her was a standout moment during our time in Scotland. And the whisky itself? Outstanding! Well done, Marge!

One of the highlights was discovering the town’s fascinating shipbuilding legacy, which played a vital role in shaping Scotland’s industrial history. A stroll along the waterfront provided beautiful views of the River Clyde, while the welcoming atmosphere of the town made every stop enjoyable. I also enjoyed exploring local shops, cafés, and green spaces, where friendly locals and a relaxed pace of life showcased the true character of Clydebank. The town serves as an excellent gateway to nearby attractions, including the breathtaking Loch Lomond and the vibrant Glasgow. Whether you’re interested in history, scenic walks, or simply experiencing authentic Scottish hospitality, Clydebank offers a memorable and rewarding visit. A hidden gem on the banks of the Clyde that is well worth exploring.

We had such a wonderful look behind the scenes at the brewery. Brian, our guide, was amazing—he shared everything with so much enthusiasm and passion while also being incredibly funny. We also got to enjoy some whiskey tasting, which was absolutely delicious! Simply fantastic!

This tour was incredible. It ended up being just the two of us, but that didn't take away from the experience at all. The only hiccup was when the security man, George, hadn’t unlocked the warehouse door, so we had to wait a few moments while Brian, our delightful guide, went to retrieve the key. It was well worth the wait, as we were treated to an additional whisky in the end.

Niel was an excellent host—an intelligent guy who really knows his work. The staff were all incredibly welcoming, and the atmosphere was fantastic. My son's birthday felt extra special because of it. We had a knowledgeable tour guide in Brian who made the history and process of Auchentoshan whisky both informative and entertaining. The special hot toddy they provided was a nice touch on a chilly day. After that, we got to sample the actual whisky itself. It was a birthday gift from my son, and I must say it was well worth the visit.

We visited Auchentoshan on Saturday with friends and were warmly welcomed upon arrival. Our incredible tour guide, Helen, introduced herself and took us on a fascinating tour of the distillery. She shared the history of the site, explained the whisky-making process, and provided plenty of samples to enjoy. Helen was fantastic—no question was too trivial for her! Our mostly international group comprised just 6 people, which made the hour-long experience feel personal and welcoming. The guide was delightful, well-informed, and very approachable. We explored the stunning buildings and traditional equipment, learned about the unique techniques behind Auchentoshan's deliciousness, and enjoyed a tasting, particularly the Three Wood—arguably the most intricate and subtly flavored, yet surprisingly underrated scotch globally. Witnessing the three stills up close was truly impressive. Not enough people appreciate that this is the sole distillery to triple distill their scotch, which is evident in the purity and smoothness of any of their offerings. It's probably the best £20 I've spent, even before receiving a charming little enamelled shot mug from their gift shop, which was a perfect ending. In short, I can't recommend this tour enough. Even if you're a non-drinker, it's a captivating experience not to be missed if you're ever nearby.

My wife and I had been exploring Glasgow and, after chatting with some local bar staff, we were told this distillery was the top spot to visit—situated just west of Glasgow and brimming with vintage charm. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Auchentoshan for the Cask Exploration: Deconstructing Three Wood! Niall, our guide, was outstanding—extremely knowledgeable and delightful company. The tour through the barrels was lovely, and we even had a glimpse into the stills (thanks again, Niall). I would definitely recommend this tour and really enjoyed our morning there.

We FINALLY managed to visit the distillery after several years of missed opportunities. Our expectations were high, and we were not let down! A brief tasting of whiskies set the stage for the incredible options presented on the tour. Sampling directly from the cask during our warehouse visit was particularly special. This restaurant in the Golden Jubilee Hotel was one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in UK. Food was great and prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend to try this one. The hotel itself was also very clean and cozy. It’s located next to a river and the view was also great. Too bad that we were rushing to the Lake District and didn’t have time to walk along the river.
