When "Avatar: The Way of Water" had just been released, I happened to visit West Kirby on the west side of Liverpool. The radio was playing Beatles songs all the way, and for the first time, I felt their music was so in tune with this land. Arriving at West Kirby, the tide was low at noon, exposing the mudflats but muddy. You can walk to Hilbre Island and gaze across to Wales. As the seawater recedes, it leaves winding marks on the soft sand. Endless waves, on their own timeline, gently caress the rocky cliffs, carving them hard, the patterns becoming homogenized. Human interaction is roughly like this... (By the way, feeling Olympus's red, green, and blue again 🤌🏼)
