Highly recommend to do road trip, if you are traveling from London, you could spend a day in Oxford first, next day can go from Bourton-on-the-Water -> Bibury -> Castle Combe and the destination could be Bath or Bristol. This is something you dun wanna miss!! #unitedkingdom #travel
Yulin Yutang said that the ideal life of Datong in the world is to live in the English countryside. There are a lot of exquisite and quiet rural villages in the UK, but if you can only choose one that you want to go, I will not hesitate to choose Bibury.
Berbury is an old village situated on the banks of the Cologne River, 10.5 km from Cirencester, known for its brown stone cottages and steeply sloping roofs. It is not only hailed by British artist William Morris as the most beautiful village in England, but also the location of the film Bridget Jones's Diary, which can be regarded as a representative of English country towns.
The tranquil Bibury has a nostalgic atmosphere: a series of riverside cottages, criss-crossing narrow streets, solid stone houses lined with buildings, and the 17th-century Arlington Mill.
, bright flowers and plants, huts and houses, the ancient Baibori exudes a strong rural atmosphere, and everything has a charm of peace of mind. Walking here, it seems to break into the world of fairy tales, so beautiful that people forget all the troubles.

England's most beautiful village: Bibury
Bibury is a typical ancient English village, green in all four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter!
►Walk along the left side of the hotel and you will see a clear stream flowing.
▪️It is said that small towns with flowing rivers have spirituality!
The house with the swan logo in front is the five-star Swan Hotel in town, the Swan Hotel.
Lovely lineup, led by two white swans, followed by little soldier gray swan.
▪I saw the countryside cottage in my dream: a two-story villa with a chimney, a small garden in front of the door, with some flowers and plants, and my own lawn. I planted a tree of hope and watched it grow every day...
►Arlington Row townhouses
▪The world-renowned traditional row houses of Arlington Row, with houses on both sides dating back nearly a thousand years, are one of the highest protected historic buildings in England.
▪The whole street is built with traditional stone houses, and it really looks very old when you walk in.
Every time I take a photo with a historical relic, I feel like I'm traveling through time. Imagine, it has experienced hundreds of years of vicissitudes, and you are a part of its life.
▪The small flower bed in front of the door is beautifully matched.
At the end of the road, the slightly sloping path extends to a cabin that catches one's eye.
Long, long ago, I only read about such scenes in fairy tales.
After Arlington Row, a green path leads directly to the entrance of the town.
►Swan Garden
Next to the farm is the Swan Garden, a typical European-style garden carefully tended by the owner. You will definitely be moved by the flowers and plants in the garden!
▪Isn't it a very Victorian scene? Imagine a female protagonist in a long dress and a gentleman protagonist, with a table full of afternoon tea.
▪The garden owner is very thoughtful and even prepared this for the visitors! Sitting on the lounge chair, feeling relaxed all over, let your body feel the birdsong and fragrance of flowers here, breathing in the countryside air filled with the taste of summer... and there's also Wifi in this garden.
As the first stop in England, Bibury's beautiful rural scenery and well-preserved medieval relics turn a brief visit into an eternal memory!

Visiting the Cotswolds ♥️🇬🇧
If you are into countryside living or enjoy a quiet escape, you must have heard of the Cotswolds - a chain of super picturesque villages - in England.
The Cotswolds is one of the most 'quintessentially English' and unspoiled regions of England where you cannot help but fall in love with the uniqueness of it. I stayed there for a long weekend, stayed in a hotel near Cheltenham and visited Bourton on the Water and the Trout Farm Bibury in Cirencester. I have to note that I discovered the area by car as travelling to the Cotswolds and exploring by train can be complicated though not impossible!
In my opinion, the best towns + villages to see in the Cotswolds include - Bourton-on-the-Water, Cirencester, Arlington Row, Stow-on-the-Wold and Whichford. Make sure to also stop by one of the many farms around and get some organic goodies...

Bourton-on-the-water Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Cotswold
The Cotswolds is a picturesque region with charming villages, rolling hills, and stunning landscapes. Its quintessential English beauty never fails to captivate visitors. From exploring quaint villages like Bourton-on-the-Water to hiking along scenic trails, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The Cotswolds also boasts a rich history, with historic landmarks such as Blenheim Palace and Sudeley Castle adding to its allure. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, history buff, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, the Cotswolds offers an unforgettable experience.
Bourton-on-the-Water, known as 'Little Venice', is the most popular village in the Cotswolds
The clear Windrush River runs through the entire village and gently flows into the Thames River, with five low stone arch bridges spanning across it, each with a history of over two hundred years.
The water of the Windrush River is shallow and crystal clear, with lush green trees lining the banks. A friend said this place is like the water towns of the Jiangnan region in China. Upon closer observation, it does resemble the water towns of Jiangnan, but with an added touch of spirituality. Old houses built along the river, small bridges over flowing water, restaurants, cafes, and bars are hidden within these old houses, with leisurely tourists sitting at the entrances. These houses, each with a history of hundreds of years, bear the marks of history on their mottled stone walls.
Groups of visitors stroll by the river or casually sit on wooden chairs to enjoy the sunshine, composing a beautiful painting of the English countryside with the surrounding green trees and stone houses.
After spending several days in the Cotswolds, Bourton-on-the-Water left the deepest impression on me, its very name is memorable. I really like the atmosphere of this little village; it's relaxed, simple, and comfortable, and it's much more beautiful than Venice~
The Swan Hotel Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
A Quintessential British Village Straight Out of the Middle Ages
The village of Arlington is quaint and tranquil. Narrow paths run between the neat, honey-colored buildings, which look particularly lovely in spring when they're decorated with an abundance of flowers. The whole village is pretty and peaceful.
Bibury is a village in Gloucestershire, England, with a temperate maritime climate, a splendid Saxon church and several mansions, as well as the famous Arlington townhouse. The elegance of Tiancheng attracts many tourists from home and abroad.
The UK is the first country to achieve agricultural professionalization, so various agricultural modernizations are still common in small towns. In these 17th-century buildings, there are shops, restaurants, cafes, hotels, and wool processing museums to meet the needs of life and entertainment.
The government will also organize a variety of new and interesting activities, such as medieval costume knights, flower shows, music festivals, art festivals, agricultural exhibitions, rainbow trout farms, special villagers, British royal swan and so on. Coupled with the money, the citizens will first invest in the town and build their own small world. Under the quiet appearance of the town, it can be said that it is wonderful.
St Edward's Church Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
St. Edward’s Church, Cotswolds, England 🇬🇧
The highest of the Cotswolds towns, hilltop Stow-on-the-Wold lies in the north of the region, surrounded by pretty villages and rolling countryside.
In Stow-on-the-Wold, we visited one of the oldest and most famous churches called the Church of St. Edward. It was built between the 11th and the 15th Centuries. Hidden away on the grounds of the historic church is a mystical doorway that looks like a portal that could transport you to another realm, also known as the “Hobbit door”.

Hinatuan Enchanted River flows into the Pacific Ocean. However, no one knows where the blue saltwater is from. One theory believes that an underground cave system will let water flow in but filter out dirt.
🚌 Direction: Take a van to Hinatuan. When getting off at the signboard of Hinatuan Enchanted River, you can ride a motorcycle to the river.
🤩 The Philippines is one of the first world-famous destinations in Asia that reopened. Fully-vaccinated tourists can enter the Philippines without quarantine while still need a negative Covid-19 test result before arrival.
