Daocheng Yading, known as "the last pure land on the blue planet," is a famous scenic area in Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. In July–August, Daocheng Yading enjoys pleasant and cool weather, with an average temperature of around 10–22°C. This is when oxygen levels are highest throughout the year, significantly reducing the chance of altitude sickness. During this summer period, Luorong Pasture and Chonggu Meadow are covered with blooming Gesang flowers and Meconopsis, transforming the meadows into colorful carpets, making it an excellent choice for escaping the summer heat and enjoying the scenery. Additionally, with abundant summer rainfall, Milk Lake and Five-Color Lake are full, their waters crystal clear like jewels, offering breathtaking beauty. ✨
🚌 Transportation guide
· By air: You can choose to fly to Daocheng Yading Airport, one of the highest civilian airports in the world. Upon arrival, you'll need to take an airport shuttle bus to Shangri-La Town to acclimate to the altitude. ✈️
· Self-driving: Starting from Chengdu, take the 318 Sichuan-Tibet Southern Route. The scenery along the way is magnificent, but road conditions are complex, so self-driving is not recommended for those without extensive mountain driving experience. 🚗
· Local transportation: The scenic area is large, and attractions are far apart. It's recommended to use the scenic area's sightseeing bus combined with electric carts for flexible itinerary planning. 🚎

🌅 Day 1: Acclimation and meadow scenery
· Morning: After arriving at the scenic area, take the sightseeing bus to Zaguangbeng, hike to Chonggu Monastery, then take an electric cart to Luorong Pasture to experience the high-altitude pasture embraced by the three sacred mountains. 🏔️

· Yak meat hotpot: Fresh yak meat paired with mushrooms and highland vegetables, with a delicious broth, essential for replenishing energy. 🥩
