Chand Baori Step Well (Abhaneri) Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
The water of this massive abhaneri step well is built in the 8th centuries, and was reached by 3,500 steps.
Chand baori
I have always wanted to visit Chand Baori after seeing numerous photos in travel magazines.
If ever in Jaipur, this is a place I would highly recommend one visits. It’s only a 2 hour drive out of Jaipur. The Baori, is one of the best in India due to its history, its architecture (symmetrical steps), its photogenic beauty. It really is a wonderful piece of art and the most fascinating thing is that there is very little literature on how it was constructed.

Impressive Stepwell in India 🇮🇳
#wecreate
On the way to Agra from Jaipur our driver took us to this tiny tourist spot and it was indeed a pleasant surprise. Apparently this is the largest constructed stepwell in India. Amazing isn't it?
We highly suggest to stop here on the way to Agra or the other way around. You must see it in person to truly appreciate its achitectural and engineering beauty and wonder.
This tourist spot requires no entrance fee however you cannot take the steps down to the water.
Enjoy your trip.
