2026 Denham Travel Guide: must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transport & travel experiences (updated in February)

Just back from Monkey Mia and it was amazing! 🐬 The shallow, wide beach is perfect for walking and enjoying the clear blue water. The dolphin show is so fun—you can get close and watch these gentle creatures play. We also found a local hot spring with outdoor baths at 42°C, just like in Japan ♨️. Relaxing in warm water while enjoying nature was pure bliss! The weather was warm, the sea was beautiful, and the whole experience felt so peaceful and refreshing. Perfect for a getaway to recharge!

#AccommodationTravelDiary The beach is right in front of you! The water is clear, there are no people, and the water is shallow. It's amazing!! Plus, you can watch the sun sink into the horizon! The rooms are basic, but clean. There's a coin-operated laundry. Each room is equipped with a kitchen, refrigerator, microwave, pots, dishes, and dishwashing detergent. Condiments are not provided, so you'll need to bring your own. There are two shared barbecue spaces. There's also a supermarket a five-minute walk away. (It's a small, rural supermarket with a limited selection, but it's enough for buying barbecue ingredients and breakfast.)

Entry is AUD $15 per vehicle, and the landscapes are worth every cent. From vibrant red cliffs meeting turquoise waters to secluded white-sand beaches, the views here are out of this world! 🏖️ I spent my day exploring Cape Peron and the surrounding lookouts. The contrast of colors—red earth, blue sky, and teal ocean—was mesmerizing. I also spotted marine life like dugongs, turtles, and even dolphins from Skipjack Point. 🐢🐬 If you’re into fishing or kayaking, the warm waters of Big Lagoon are perfect for both. Camping under the stars here was magical, though you’ll need to bring all your supplies as the park is remote. The serenity and untouched beauty made it a highlight of my Western Australia trip. #australiatrip Awesome view! Definitely worth stopping into if passing by. The beaches here are great, hikes with beautiful scenery of the beach and packed with history dating back to WWII. The carpark does tend to get full pretty quickly on sunny days so I suggest trying and to go as early as you can or alternatively, park a little bit further away and walk up to the cape.

It was a good decision to make a stop at Little Lagoon at Denham, Western Australia! We were greeted with this lovely bright orange sunset! 🌅 The beach is easily accessible, just a 15min drive from the town area. We had the beach to ourselves and had a very enjoyable evening just sitting on the beach, chilling and watching the sunset! We even managed to spot some beautiful wildflowers by the roadside too!
