It is a beautifully preserved Joseon Dynasty architectural marvel and is currently designated as Treasure No. 2053. The best part about it was that it didn't feel like a flashy tourist attraction. The old hanok and the surrounding scenery blend so naturally, making it the perfect place to take a slow, relaxing stroll. There's also an interesting backstory to the name "Hamokjeong." Legend has it that King Injo stayed here before ascending to the throne and personally wrote the name "Hamokjeong" as a token of his connection to the place. The building itself is quite different from a typical pavilion. The main hall and the rooms are connected in a unique way, forming a '丁' (T-shaped) structure overall. You can really appreciate its architectural charm when you look up close. It’s a great spot to drop by for a quick photo op and take your time exploring the surroundings, and it's highly recommended if you want to experience the ambiance of traditional Korean architecture in a tranquil setting.
