Sadly there are no actual cats here, but cat lovers will love it either way. It’s the perfect little place to caffeinate before walking around downtown Killarney. #europetrip

Construction began in 1843 and it was consecrated in 1857. Built using locally cut limestone, it has a cruciform floor plan, and its towers reach a height of 186 feet (approximately 57 meters), making it the tallest landmark in the city. Initiated by Bishop William Kinsella, it was built with donations from the public after a famine. The interior features exquisite stained glass, an Italian marble altar, and the relics of St. Victoria, making it an important religious and architectural landmark in Kilkenny.

We had a pleasant stay at Killarney Heights Hotel. The room and hotel facilities were clean, well maintained, and comfortable, and overall we were happy with our stay. During our visit, the power sockets in the room were not working. After reporting this to reception, a technician attended within around 30 minutes. He found that a faulty hair dryer had tripped the main circuit and replaced it, after which the power supply was restored. We really appreciated the quick and professional response from the staff. However, there was an issue with the room type. We booked a Triple Room Ensuite (1 double bed and 2 single beds) through the Trip.com app, but the room provided (Room 305) had 1 double bed and only 1 single bed, which did not match the booking details. Apart from this discrepancy, the stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We hope the room description on the booking app can be clarified to avoid confusion for future guests.
