Located inside the DoubleTree Hotel, it's easily accessible, and the luxurious atmosphere made for a relaxing meal. The biggest draw here is the multi-station buffet. With a selection of Malaysian cuisines, including Malay, Indian, Chinese, and Peranakan, it felt like a mini food festival. I was particularly impressed by the satay and laksa. The charcoal-grilled satay paired perfectly with the peanut sauce, and the rich laksa broth was a harmonious blend of spices, truly capturing the local flavors. 🥢🍲 The seafood section was also excellent. Fresh shrimp, clams, and squid were prepared on the spot, and paired with a spicy sauce, they were as tempting as a drink. The dessert corner offered a wide selection, from traditional Malay kuih to tropical fruits and cakes, ensuring a satisfying end to the meal. 🍮🍍 The service was also excellent. The staff were friendly and explained the dishes and promptly cleared away empty plates, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. While the price range is a bit high for a hotel buffet, the quality and variety of food made it well worth it. Overall, Makan Kitchen is a "one-stop culinary experience for Malaysia." It's a bit like the presidential palace in our country or the White House in the United States. The federal government, parliament, and royal palace used to be all in Kuala Lumpur. The traffic was too congested during rush hour, so we moved to this up-and-coming town. The area is very concentrated with attractions. Most people come here for the pink mosque. Admission is free, and burqas are free to borrow. It looks like Harry Potter! 😆 Girls are basically required to wear one, except for children. Shoes must be removed inside. Even in such hot weather, it's still cool inside the mosque, even without the air conditioning. The atmosphere inside is very solemn. No noise is allowed. The rose-colored granite is truly beautiful in photos. From a certain angle outside, it looks like it's floating on the water. The Prime Minister's Office and Putra Plaza are both nearby. You can also take a boat tour to enjoy the scenery of Putrajaya Lake. Such a large lake is surprisingly artificial. I'm quite impressed. About a half-hour drive from downtown Kuala Lumpur. The entire mosque is constructed from pink granite, with shades of pink ranging from light to deep, creating a gentle and captivating appearance. Situated by the Putrajaya Lake, its reflection on the water makes it look like a living painting—majestic yet dreamy. You’ll find yourself clicking your camera nonstop. Durian lovers' paradise—Durian Cendol is a must-try! After visiting the majestic mosque, the hot weather gave me the perfect excuse to hunt for nearby delicacies. At the food court in Putra Square near the mosque, I discovered a heavenly treat—Durian Cendol! This isn’t just delicious; it’s on a "divine" level! A bowl of shaved ice topped with rich coconut milk and palm sugar, paired with chewy green cendol jelly, and the star of the show—a generous heap of fresh golden durian flesh placed right on top. We were in Putrajaya and decided to give this cute café cum coffeehouse a try. Overall, we had a wonderful time at this café . The coffee was quite good, and I really appreciated the nice atmosphere. The café is clean and spacious, perfect for relaxing.

The coffee was nice. Ordered Caramel Macchiato and Almond Croissant, Smores, but the croissant bit too hard to bite although it’s eatable. Overall this cafe is a good place and cozy to hangout and chill with family and friends. Recommend to add more menu especially on the pastries and food.

The authentic taste and traditional touch are still perfectly preserved, especially the Lempeng Pisang (or PekNga, as it's called in Kedah) which is absolutely delicious. The Cekodok Pisang (banana fritters) remind me of my mom’s homecooked version—comforting with a rich banana flavor, not overwhelmed by flour. This cafe and its poolside view, offers excellent cleanliness and fast service. It’s not just locals who enjoy the food; the Japanese group of friends sitting next to us seemed to really appreciate the Malay traditional dishes, from Mee Rebus to Roti Jala. The new location is definitely a step up!
