Sousse Beach is a vibrant mix of relaxation and lively activity. The turquoise waters are incredibly inviting, perfect for a refreshing dip. I loved watching families and couples enjoying the sunshine. The beach is lined with hotels and cafes, so finding refreshments is easy. Sousse is considered the third largest city in Tunisia, located about 140 km south of Tunis. It is a beautiful coastal city that can be reached by bus from Tunis. The city is very picturesque and is often referred to as the 'Pearl of the Sahel.' Its old town is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Entering the Medina, the streets continue along a gentle slope. The contrast between the white walls and blue doors is simply stunning. You can stop by a café or peek into the shops. Just walking around the city is a delightful experience.

Absolutely brilliant experience! I had an amazing 30-minute speed boat ride that was fun from start to finish. Michael, the pilot, was fantastic — friendly, professional, and made the entire ride thoroughly enjoyable. He knew just how to balance excitement with a sense of safety. Special thanks to Rio as well, who ensured everything was well-organized and took great care of us. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Sousse. Great fun, great people, and an awesome way to spend half an hour on the sea! Definitely 5 stars!

On this trip, I stayed in Tunis and Sousse. By using trains between the cities and local buses or trains for airport transfers and sightseeing, I managed to keep my transportation costs very low. It's a huge plus that local transport is so affordable even for long distances! Since I hadn't exchanged much Tunisian currency, I mostly cooked my own meals. I saved money by buying groceries like vegetables and bread at local supermarkets and markets. Food prices at supermarkets are quite reasonable. Sightseeing fees seem to be rising every year; both the Carthage ruins and the Bardo Museum cost more than the rates I’d previously researched.

In the city known as the "Pearl of the Sahel," I spent my days wandering the Medina and strolling down to the shore. I was struck by how much bluer and more beautiful the sea was than I had imagined. For sightseeing, I headed to the Ribat, and the view of Sousse from the top was absolutely breathtaking. Other than that, you can pretty much sightsee for free; just walking through the Medina is enough to experience the exotic atmosphere. Dining out seemed a bit pricey, so I saved money by buying bread and eating it with spreads and jams. Here is the breakdown of the actual costs from my time in Sousse, where I managed to have a blast without spending much on sightseeing or food.

Even if you wander off course a bit, you can easily find your way out without getting exhausted. It also feels safer compared to Tunis, so why not enjoy a leisurely stroll?

The sight of cubic, whitewashed Tunisian buildings clustered along the hillside gives off a charming, distinctly Arabian vibe! Just a heads-up: the stairs leading up are narrow and dark, so watch your step! The entrance fee is 8 DT (around 400 JPY). Since your ticket only allows for a single entry, make sure to visit in the late afternoon if you want to catch the sunset!

Although small, there were plenty of electrical outlets, and I was very satisfied. There's also a shared kitchen and balcony, allowing you to fully enjoy the pleasant Tunisian breeze. Located on the edge of the Sousse medina, it's perfect for shopping, dining, and sightseeing. Sousse is a city located about two hours south of Tunis, Tunisia, by train. Known as the "Pearl of the Sahel," it boasts beautiful scenery and stunning coastlines. Trains run 3-4 times a day, but only in the morning or evening, so it's recommended to check the official website for the timetable beforehand. Tickets can be purchased at the station counter. Since I don't speak French or Arabic, I purchased my ticket by showing a Google Translate screen. It cost 8.1 DT for the outbound journey and 7.7 DT for the return. I'm not sure why there's a price difference. I was in second class, but it was practically empty, so I easily found a seat! 📅 Itinerary Day1:Arrived in the evening. Getting a taxi was simple. Took a 40 minutes ride to our hotel - Marhaba Palace. After checking in went straight to dining area for a buffet dinner. Later took a walk around the beautiful resort area. Day2: Woke up to a beautiful morning. On stepping to the balcony, the view of the sea blew our mind! It is like a picture - palm trees, sea and sunshine. After breakfast went out to a local beach. Walked around and did some shopping of traditional artefacts. Amazing weather and the people are too nice. Day3: took a taxi to Sousse Medina. Great place for walking around and shopping.
