Two Days and One Night in Anji: A Family Getaway

Our long-awaited family trip to Anji is finally here! 🎈A 3-hour drive from Shanghai brought us to the Grand Julan Resort & Spa, Lao Zhuang Shan Ju, Anji. 🏨 The hotel is nestled between mountains and water, surrounded by tea plantations. The scenery is breathtaking. We could have easily spent two days just enjoying the hotel itself—a real-world paradise. ✔️ Yiyi had a blast these past two days, experiencing so many things she couldn't do in Shanghai: 1⃣️ Making Pine Cone Flowers Yiyi and her parents made pine cone flowers together, which was a great way for her to develop her hands-on skills and creativity. 2⃣️ Wu Peng Boat Ride: Experiencing the joy of rowing a boat 🎉, backed by tea fields, and enjoying the serene lake and mountain scenery. 3⃣️ Hanfu Experience: Traveling through time and experiencing the gentle charm of ancient Jiangnan women. 4⃣️ Hot Springs ♨️: Enjoying the hot springs with a thoughtful cup of ginger tea. Soaking in the hot springs while gazing at the distant scenery, it felt like all our fatigue evaporated with the steam. 5⃣️ Big Hulu Paradise: Digging in the sand, climbing… a great place for kids to burn off energy. Remember to bring sand toys! 6⃣️ Feeding the Ducks 🦆: The hotel reception provides duck feed. Yiyi had a lot of fun feeding the ducks 🦆 and black swans 🦢😆 7⃣️ Striking the Bell at the Daochang: Climb to the mountaintop to experience striking the bell at the Daochang. 8⃣️ Fishing: Bring your fishing gear and enjoy fishing in the stream. This family trip not only brought Yiyi immense joy and growth but also allowed us adults to rediscover our childlike wonder and find some peace and quiet.
