Lawrence’s desert spring

When heading out into the stunning landscape that is Jordan’s Wadi Rum protected are the first thing you may notice is a small canal like structure in the middle of the desert. This may seem unusual as a tourist attraction but is full of history, long before Lawrence of Arabia reportedly used this spring, it was used by the ancient Nabatean people who roamed this land in search of water and now is used by local camel herders to allow their animals a drink in the hot temperatures. #aprilblooms #desert #spring
