Must visit in Hokkaido!

Heading to Hokkaido during winter? U must visit Asahiyama Zoo in Asahikawa. The mogu mogu time, penguin parade happens daily (unless penguins are unwilling to come out or due to poor weather) at 11am and 2.30pm local time. See the penguins waddle their way out of their enclosure, and walk around the zoo and finally they march back into their enclosure. The penguins are super close up but safe from humans as their keepers are there to guide them in case they wander off. Sometimes they speed walk through sometimes they walk really slowly, it’s completely up to them. Super unique experience!
