New exhibition at the China Millennium Monument | The Magnificent Life of Princess Sissi.

For countless Chinese people, "Princess Sissi" is not unfamiliar. The movie "Sissi" made her a classic screen memory for a generation. Today I checked in at the new exhibition at the China Millennium Monument, [The Pearl of the Austro-Hungarian Empire - Princess Sissi and the Art Exhibition of Her Times], and the brilliant history was reproduced before my eyes. She is Duchess Elizabeth of Bavaria, the epitome of beauty and elegance, but she is much more than that. In that brilliant era, she wrote her own legend in a unique way, highlighting her own personality and advocating freedom. With her promotion, the Austro-Hungarian Empire in modern history was established, and she became the first queen of the empire. This exhibition takes Princess Sissi's life context and life story as the main thread, linking the culture and art of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the 19th century. There are nearly 300 pieces/sets of precious exhibits on display, including multiple oil paintings of Princess Sissi, daily necessities, historical photos and sculptures. After marrying into the royal family, Princess Sissi not only maintained her love for reading, traveling, and horseback riding, but also loved and devoted herself to artistic activities such as painting, poetry, and music. Many artistic celebrities had interactions with her, including the "King of Piano" Franz Liszt, Hans Makart, the royal painter of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and Mihaly Munkács, the greatest Hungarian painter. Legendary stories are suitable for appreciation, but they are not a mirror for ordinary people🪞.
