Linglong Park Cishou Temple

Cishou Temple Pagoda, originally named Yong'an Wanshou Pagoda, also known as Balizhuang Pagoda or Linglong Pagoda, was built in imitation of Tianning Temple Pagoda. It is located in Linglong Park, No. 3, Xibailizhuang Beili, Balizhuang Subdistrict, Haidian District, Beijing. Cishou Temple Pagoda is commonly known as Cishou Temple Pagoda because it was built in Cishou Temple, and locals also call it Linglong Pagoda. In the 4th year of the Wanli period of the Ming dynasty (1576), Cishou Temple Pagoda was built. In the 22nd year of the Qianlong period of the Qing dynasty (1757), it was renovated. During the Guangxu period of the Qing dynasty, the temple was abandoned, leaving only Cishou Temple Pagoda and two stone tablets in front of the pagoda. Cishou Temple Pagoda is octagonal in shape, with 13 stories, a dense eaves style, and a solid brick structure, with a total height of 50 meters. There are no stairs, so it cannot be climbed. In 1957, Cishou Temple Pagoda was announced as a cultural relic protection unit in Beijing by the Beijing Municipal People's Government.
