The first stop on the Xinjiang trip: Sayram Lake Here, I encountered a legendary summer. This guide shares the travel and photography route, all essence summarized, pictures without filters, I believe it can definitely help everyone Sayram Lake, located beside the National Highway 30 near Bole City, has a full lake circuit of 92 kilometers, at an altitude of about 2000 meters 🏡 Accommodation: Personally, I think there's no need to stay inside the scenic area, I stayed in Bole City, which is a little over 1h away from the scenic area 🎫 Tickets: Sightseeing car: 140/person Self-driving: 143/person for one day, 190/person for two days One day ticket is valid for 24h, tickets can be purchased online at 'A Mobile Phone Tour of Sayram Lake', but you still need to exchange for a paper ticket, drones also need to be registered there It is recommended to self-drive, no traffic jams, besides the designated stops, the far left side of the road is also a parking lane available at any time Travel route: Enter from the east gate, exit from the south gate (the south gate is only for exit, not for entry) 📸 The beautiful scenic spots along the way are: 1️⃣ Lingxia Bay You can skip the first stop, Moon Bay, if it's too crowded, as Lingxia Bay is not far ahead and you can capture the complete reflection of the snow mountain, and there are actually small shrimps by the water 2️⃣ Ten-mile Gallery + Lakeside of Flowers There is no clear distinction here, once you see small flowers on the right side of the road, you've arrived, facing the snow mountain, and you might encounter swans, which are close and there are fewer people 3️⃣ Sailing Creek A large area of small purple flowers by the lake, check in at the 'Sayram Lake' stone monument 4️⃣ Salmon Bay Set off in the morning and arrive here around noon, the water surface is sparkling, like diamonds shining 5️⃣ Spruce Gallery Once you start seeing spruce on the right hillside, you've arrived, there are many colorful flowers on both sides of the road, and it's not crowded 6️⃣ Swans Enjoying Water You don't need to encounter the swans here by chance, they are always there, some swans are floating on the water sleeping, some are diving into the water to look for food, very cute 7️⃣ Lighthouse (Keler Yongzhu) From the lighthouse, the lake water looks like sapphire, you can walk along the lake to the right on the pebble path, take photos without people, and capture the snow mountain, spruce, and lake water all in one frame Looking at the lake from a high place on the road, the lake water looks 'smeared', like tinted watercolor, this is caused by the undercurrent formed by the spring water gushing out from the lake bottom, which never freezes, hence the name 'Keler Yongzhu' 8️⃣ S Bend Recently there are more cars at the S Bend, and barriers have been added in the middle, but there is a stone monument by the lake that says 'There is a blue in the world called Sayram Lake Blue', a spot that mothers love to check in, and there are small flowers on the slope by the lake 9️⃣ The place with the most flowers Not far from the S Bend, there is a large area of small flowers on the slope by the lake, which is simply stunning! And there are fewer people! Behind the white flower clusters by the roadside, there is a huge area of colorful small flowers, framing with the lake water, like a real-life fairy tale world Other tips: ✔️ This itinerary takes about 6～7 hours to complete ✔️ It's a bit cold to wear short sleeves by the lake ✔️ There's not much to eat inside, remember to bring snacks ✔️ Right after exiting the south gate, you'll reach the Guozigou Bridge, and several parking spots along the road are good spots for taking photos
