I found an amazing, budget-friendly homestay in Bortala, Xinjiang!

I recently traveled to Xinjiang and chose to stay at the Cici Xili Homestay (Sailimu Lake East Gate Visitor Center Branch) to experience the beauty of Sailimu Lake up close. Here's my honest review: 📍 Location: Super convenient for sightseeing near the lake The homestay is located near the Sailimu Lake East Gate Visitor Center, just a few minutes' walk from the scenic area entrance. It's the perfect spot to enjoy the lake. You can wake up early to watch the sunrise and enjoy the stunning sunset in the evening. Even if you don't want to enter the scenic area, the surrounding scenery is also incredibly beautiful. There are also some restaurants and small shops nearby, making it very convenient for dining and shopping. 🏡 Environment: Cozy and comfortable The homestay opened in 2024 and features a warm and elegant decor. The courtyard is filled with flowers and plants, and there are tables and chairs for relaxing. You can even stargaze at night! The rooms are thoughtfully decorated with attention to detail, making you feel right at home. 🛏️ Room: A new experience of smart comfort I stayed in the Light Luxury LOFT Mountain View King Room. The room has underfloor heating, a heater, and a humidifier, making it very comfortable even in the cold, dry season. The zero-pressure mattress felt like sleeping on a cloud, ensuring a good night's sleep. There's also a smart voice system that allows you to control the lights and curtains with just your voice – super cool! The bathroom has a smart toilet, and the quality of the toiletries is also excellent. 🍜 Dining: Delicious breakfast to start your day The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options, including bread, eggs, milk, and local specialties. Everything was delicious, and I felt energized for a day of exploring after a satisfying meal. If you don't want to eat at the homestay, there are also many restaurants nearby. 💁 Service: Thoughtful and heartwarming The staff at the front desk were very welcoming from the moment I checked in. They not only processed my check-in quickly but also provided helpful information about nearby attractions. Throughout my stay, they were always responsive to any requests and helped me with everything I needed. They even gave me a small gift upon check-out, which was a lovely touch!
