On June 15th, one of Xinjiang's most scenic highways officially starts trial operation! This magical road connecting Altay and Hemu, which only opened on July 1st last year, is launching a full half-month earlier this year! The best travel period is June-September when weather is stable and landscapes most diverse. Allow two days for the journey, with an overnight stop in Jiadengyu. A shortcut to Hemu. Previously requiring a detour through Burqin, the Ahe Highway now saves two hours to reach Hemu village - known as "God's Private Garden" and home to the Tuva people. Free passage during trial operation requires advance booking via the "Travel Xinjiang" platform, with daily limits of 500 vehicles. Large trucks are prohibited to ensure comfortable driving.
