Riding the historical Alishan Forest Railway

You can hop on the historical Alishan Forest Railway that moves through the dense forest of Alishan.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ During the Japanese occupation of Taiwan, Alishan Forest Railway was built to facilitate the transportation of resources like cypress wood from the mountain ranges. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Nowadays, we are lucky to still enjoy the rides on this historical train from Chiayi train station up the mountainous region to Fenqihu station or Shizilu station.
