Beautiful ancient temple! A hidden gem!

Tapingsi Temple Tapingsi Temple is located in Jingguan, Beibei. It was built in 1146 during the Song Dynasty and has a history of over 800 years. Tapingsi Temple is also the only Tibetan Buddhist temple in Chongqing. The large red walls are a unique feature of the temple, and many visitors come to see the red walls and ginkgo trees. We recommend you visit this ancient temple, which is nearly 1,000 years old. The red walls and ancient pagoda are full of history. Navigation: Tapingsi Temple, Beibei (cars can be parked at the entrance) Tickets: Free, 9:00 am–12:00 pm, 1:00 pm–5:00 pm Transportation: Take Metro Line 6 to Beibei Station, then transfer to Bus 963 (Beibei Bus Station to Tainongzhuang) and get off at Jingguan Station. Transfer to Bus 9012 and get off at Tapingsi Temple Station. Walk to Tapingsi Temple. 1️⃣ In addition to taking photos of the ginkgo trees, portraits with the red walls as a background are also great. 2️⃣ Ancient relics in the temple: a stone pagoda built in 1167, a memorial archway built in 1612, the Mahavira Hall and Sutra Library from the Qing Dynasty, and a hexagonal seven-story iron pagoda. 3️⃣ Nearby attractions include: Jingguan Flower and Tree Ecotourism Area, Hua Tuo Temple, Jingguan Ancient Town, and Jinyuan Hot Spring Resort.
