Christchurch offers breathtaking coastal hikes.|||Akaroa Head Scenic Reserve It's just a one and a half hour drive from Christchurch, right by the French🇫🇷 town of Akaroa, 11 kilometers past Akaroa, but it's all uphill. The second half of the journey is on a Gravel road suitable only for four-wheel drives. Be sure to drive carefully and slowly, ideally not exceeding 40 km/h to avoid losing control and skidding. My front-wheel drive was really hard to handle. But once you get there, a 15-minute hike will take you to amazing spots for bucketing and taking incredible photos. The big rocks in the back look just like an elephant's🐘 trunk. Standing on the edge of the cliff and taking a shot is simply unbeatable. You can continue walking further if you have time. I was limited, but I recommend you go and experience it for yourself. It's definitely even more beautiful when the weather is good.
