The ancient village of Ponferrada

Traveling westward in Spain ~ Leon (region) Compludo is only 20 kilometers from Ponferrada. It is worth a visit to enjoy the views of the valley, the scenery around the village and the various monuments. The blacksmith shop deserves special mention. It is the only working blacksmith's shop in the area and dates back to the Middle Ages. It is accessible by a footpath that runs along the river bank.
